Description


Welcome to PROJECT VALACHORD!
The Star Wars universe has come to Hearts of Iron. Experience the battles, characters, and locations from the original trilogy and more. Built with HOI4's game mechanics in mind, you don't have to relearn as you play. Jump in, find your path in the brewing civil war, and immerse yourself in the galaxy far, far away.

Project Valachord is an independent production, unaffiliated with any other HOI4 mod teams or projects.

PLAYABLE NATIONS:
Galactic Empire, Alderaan (the Rebel Alliance), Kota's Milita, Ryloth Freedom Fighters, Imperial Ryloth Protectorate, & Saw's Partisans.

IMPERIAL GENERICS:
Sullust, Mandalore, Outer Rim Authority, Kamino, & Lothal.



Primary focus in the weeks after release will be bug fixing, quality of life changes, and implementing any planned features deemed unnecessary for the official release. In terms of gameplay content...

PLANNED CONTENT:
Expanded trees for the Empire, Rebel Alliance, & Ryloth!
Unique trees for the Corellian Resistance, Hapans, Mandalore, and the Hutts (stay tuned 😉)

DLC REQUIREMENT:
Due to the extent of the changes made in Project Valachord, all DLCs for Hearts of Iron IV are compatible for the mod to run, however Death or Dishonor, Together for Victory, Man the Guns, & Waking the Tiger are REQUIRED for the mod to function. We cannot guarantee the stability or quality of your playthrough if you do not use the required DLC.

thats understandable but i believe you misunderstood me.
i was going to replace most if not all files from both mods and use their models only so i wanted to ask if i may use the models used in this mod

I think we’d prefer that, if the mod isn’t a Valachord submod, that our assets are not used. We’ve no issue with a Valachord-based Clone Wars submod (as I’m assuming is the era you wish to make), but taking things like our map or art for a separate project doesn’t sit well. I’d also advise that trying to ‘kitbash’ Palpatine’s Gamble and Valachord would likely be a greater deal of effort than simply starting from scratch; our mod and theirs are built fundamentally different. We appreciate asking for permission regardless.

hello, i was going to make a mod by combining aspects from this mod and from palpatines gambit and i dont think that the mod would work if i were to make project valachorid a required item as it changes a lot of things and deletes some from this mod so i was wondering if i may still publish it if it doesnt work with the original mod

Definitely a possible workaround, but we just can’t make any promises towards that era when much of our GCW content remains unfinished. I’m sure if we’re unable to get to it, some submodder will.
