Jaggid's Hopes and Dreams

Description
The new DLC is nice and it's a lot of fun to work with Hope and see her gain sentience, but it leaves you wanting more. Why can't we play with Hope, now fully sentient, in other Scenarios?

The mod adds 6 varieties of Hope, with different names along the same theme, to the available survivor pool for all scenarios:
  • Hope 9000 - Great at research, good at cooking, but she's a pacificst.
  • Dream 9000 - Master Crafter but she's a bit of an entertainment junky and refuses to do farming tasks.
  • Faith 9000 - Great at construction, but keep her out of the kitchen.
  • Joy 9000 - Loves the outdoors, great at Farming, Ranching and gathering tasks, but she is unwilling to perform any crafting tasks and is indifferent to staying inside tied to a research desk.
  • Credence 9000 - Ranged Combat specialist but completely unwilling to perform research and is indifferent to physical labour.
  • Serenity 9000 - Melee and healing specialist. She is willing to do any tasks, but is indifferent to construction and crafting.

The mod also adds two events which can trigger if an android is in your pool of active survivors. The first is an opportunity to add an additional android trait of your choice and the 2nd is an opportunity to unhide the research project for energel plus. The latter requies that energy crystals be discovered and the first requires a good amount of time to have passed before it is available to trigger as a random, positive event.

And lastly, I added a chef's recipe for android food that can be prepared on a Stove. Silicon Souffle takes fuel, silicon and sweet syrup and is a Chef's meal, so now your androids can enjoy a nice prepared meal with their biological companions.

The Sentience mechanic is not enabled for these androids, nor did I set their starting skills to cheat-levels like a fully sentient Hope would have earned, because starting new games with super-survivors is not fun for me, personally.

I actually think it would be cool to incorporate Sentience mechanics, events, and some robot waves into a non-Guardians playthrough, but that is outside the scope of what I was wanting to achieve at this point in time.

If this mod is enabled additional resources, SilicaEnergel and Repair Parts, will be included in the initial resources available at new game start on all scenarios, even if no android is in the pool of starting survivors. The exact quantity of these additional resources varies by difficulty.

Note, this mod requires the Robots and Guardians DLC to function.

Well I played on it first hour of release. And she wasn't sleeping. I played it in on shot until 80% did a break but didn't played again yet. Mb.

@Blunt Strawker, you haven't finished the scenario yet? Hope needs to sleep regularly long before she reaches 100% sentience, and, as explained in the mod description, all of the androids added by this mod represent androids who are already at 100% sentience. So yes, it is entirely intentional.

Nice mod ! thank you.
I was just thinking, why they need to sleep ? the original Hope doesn't sleep. she rests and gains energy while "eating". Was it intended ?

LOL, @hinoron1

Cool!... but I found a way to break it. :P
Tempting as it might be to run all six droids on the Military Base scenario, with the all-skills-zero game rule in effect... Definitely don't do that!
Somebody needs to have crafting lvl 3 to make more Sil-juice, and considering large quantities of fuel and silicon(the ingredients for the Sil-juice stuff) are difficult to come by in the very early stage of the game, and that you need 6 times as much every day as you did in the Guardian scenario... yeah... they're all going to starve to death before the end of Year 1. :P

Starving to death while surrounded by an abundance of food... they died sleeping on piles of a few hundred emergency rations. Ah, twisted irony... T_T

Thanks! So it never came into my game in progress. Waited about 20 min. Started a new one (which is why it took so long to reply waiting for "Hope". ) And can confirm I can now make the drink and spare parts! THANK YOU!

I'm not sure if it will show up on the workbench on an already-in-progress Project-X scenario or not. I tried to set it so that it would, but I didn't have any easy way to test that it does. I did confirm it will work in future, new Project-X scenario starts for sure.

If it is going to show up, it will probably take about a minute or two after the save is loaded before it does.

Awesome! Love the inadvertent troubleshooting! Thank you so much for your mod, and supporting it so fast!

Okay, I did not see a way to set it to scenario negation, but it doesn't seem to cause any harm having it set to be allowed in Project-X scenarios when Project-X is not enabled so I just went ahead and did that.

I'll push an update to Steam in a few minutes that should get the recipe to show up for you in the Project-X scenario.

Ah, yes, that's why it's not giving you the recipe. I have it set to only unlock in the 3 non-Guardian scenarios. I did that to prevent it from unlocking in the Guardian's scenario which gives it to you a different way.

Let me look to see if I can change it to the Gaurdians scenario negating it rather than explicitly specifying which scenarios. That would make it work properly on any custom scenarios.
