So in the Railroad main quest "Precipice Of War", after you defend the Vertibird, you get a new objective titled "Talk With Deacon". However, when I interact with him, he says, quote,

"First thing's first; I picked up some brotherhood goodies for ya, merry Christmas. More importantly, though, Tinker's ready for us on the bird. Let's go."

Now, there are two issues here.
1) He does not give me the "brotherhood goodies"
2) The quest does not progress any further.

If I try talking to him again, he says the same thing with no change. I've tried reloading past saves, restarting the game, even restarting my computer.

Honestly at this point I really just need help from someone good with console commands so I can force the game to complete this objective.

Even though this guide is just me asking for help via comments, I'm making it a guide in case anyone else is having this issue.
