- General

For the first time these specs were not made to be rare! Albeit they still are uncommon.

Grenade Connoisseur (Secondary)

Have you ever had this thing you really appreciate, and saddened there is not more of it? Fear no more! You'll have enough grenades to regret ever thinking this is a OP class. it's actually pretty balanced! What it does, exactly? Well, this guy knows about grenades, a LOT about grenades, he is the Connoisseur of Grenades for a reason, buuut he is very pure with them, there is no innate or skill bonus to their range, damage, explosion radius, shred or anything on this spec, only MORE grenades, and hope you like it :), I sure had a blast.


Smoker (Tertiary)

This one I had less opportunity to experiment late game, also I made the horrible decision to play with Smoke grenade grants concealment. Well, this is a tertiary spec that is ALL about smokes, and they are very powerful supports. They do lack Grenade Launcher, to compensate they start with a perk that grants them a free smoke, and the ability to use them as non-turn ending. Now your smoke "may" heal, provide more defense, resistance to crits, mental impairments and many others! I have no idea how powerful this is, but I sure know it can't do well alone.




- Balance and Ideology

I had no aim when I decided to make Grenade Connoisseur in terms of balance, only an idea that was itching in the back of my head SO HARD that I had to do it. You get SO many options to grenades that it feels insane, but there is always a circumstance, a case. The lack of innate salvo pre-brigadier (Which gives Fastball, a 4 turn cooldown free action skill that makes your next nade free action) make it real hard to pick and use a nade on turn-by-turn case without considering your enemies, cover, allies, and other stuff alike. Other than it being oddly balanced by itself, it did have some unforeseen problems. During testing it made nanosuit(which should've been disabled), N7s and Spartans waaayy too common, I needed to spend a bunch of time tweeking around JUST that part, which made me notice how painful it is to make secondary classes in that regard, but it was bearable.

Now my good friend Smoker. Discussing with XpanD he also had an idea of making a smoke-related spec, I just put it to the table faster, and had a different approach with the whole smoke and mirror skills at squaddie and guaranteeing smokes the fortress effect at brigadier. It's a very different support that can give you many benefits, powerful even, but they are limited in space, time and quantity, albeit the latter can be increased with a few perks. Smoker, again, I didn't play much around with, but the much I did was fun enough for me to include here.
Smoke Warhead

I needed to warn you guys about smoke warhead. There is a very specific thing about it. Smoke grenade and bombs allow you to equip another grenade besides the smoke itself, which is base game stuff. But smoke warheads doesn't, so be warned.




- Compatibility and Required Mods.

Compatible with anything that normal amalgamation does
It ONLY needs Bitterfrost Protocol for Bitterfrost bomb and amalgamation-required perks




Outro and Thanks

Always thankful to XpanD for getting me into Spec creation and getting started on my first mod, and, again, for all modders out there for working on this game.

You thought I was over with Savage and Maniac, eyh? Nananana, take two more! Well, for now i'm actually done and don't have anything planned for the time being.

Up till a few days ago, I used to have both version of Smoke and Mirrors, only recently i've changed, which might've been an oversight. Thanks for catching,

Just spotted one more, Smoker spec has "MZfreesmoke" in one of decks, should be "MZFreeSmokeGrenade"

There is a typo in XComGame.ini, required mods check for "MZFrostFrounds" rather than "MZFrostRounds". Might be why Gradesh got an error.

and get an error that I need something like a Frostbomb when loading the game with this mod. I have Bitterfrost installed
