Description
Mod that adds over 100 various firearms available in 1993 America, replacing the vanilla firearms, along with related items and ammunition. Guns are rebalanced for their range, damage, and sound radius based on caliber and barrel length. Rifles and carbines should be more usable at lower levels, though you will still not be very good with low Aim skill as normal in Zomboid. Also adds the ability to use .38 special in .357 magnum chambered guns, slugs in shotguns, and bayonets on a number of guns.

The current list of things in the images above are out of date. I'm currently adding/improving/adjusting things. I'll update once I get closer to a complete state.

Few changes to note:

-Some guns, like AR15/M16 based guns, the M14, and Mini-14 now require you to find a rail to attach before you can use scopes with them.

-.357 magnum firearms can now use .38 special and shotguns can use slugs. These guns have to be completely unloaded for the option to switch. Also, the S&W model 625 can be used with or without moon clips.

-Bayonets can be mounted to some firearms. After being fixed to a gun, you can use the Z key to toggle between bayonet and firearm. You can switch this key in the options if you would like. The bayonet will take damage separately from the firearm, so be sure to remove and check its condition occasionally.

-Silencers can be found and/or crafted. They will only work on guns with threaded barrels.

This mod includes Poltergeist’s Firearms Burst-Fire as part of the mod. Caballeros Sombreros’ Real Full Auto is not required, though highly recommended.

Damn. Maybe check with VFE about spawning gun cases in houses? It'd be nice to find like hunting rifles in places.

Maxene - I haven't found, or know yet, if there is a way to adjust magazine spawn change with a gun. There is currently no option to adjust residential handgun spawns separate from the rest.

Another question: Could there be an option to maybe make it so when you find a pistol or such, there's a chance for more than one mag? With the amount of guns this mod adds, it can be difficult to find enough mags.

tonyblundetto24 - I might eventually add them. I considered them, but they probably wouldn't be the most common thing in 1993 US.

Omucugrebla - If guns aren't spawning, there might be a mod conflict issue. Are you running any map or loot table modification mods?

Great mod, just would like to make some suggestions to add bayonets to the FN FAL and HK91, two of my favorite rifles and great for sprinter duty.

FN FAL had FAL Type C Bayonet in Unified German service , and the HK91 could take Rheinmetall G3 and M7 bayonets in West German service by taking the dust cover off iirc, would be nice if these guns got bayonets too!

I wish some of the shotguns were a little bigger! The M590 looks and feels like a toothpick. Other than that, fantastic mod, it's replaced VFE for my server! I do love both equally, but the absence of the M1 Garand... can't do it!
