So I went through many how to's and online forums to fix why the game wouldn't launch in full screen or black screen.

My best solution was found to be setting up a LOCAL account on the computer.

Even with that I would get black screens as my monitor is 360hz and the game doesn't like when the game runs above 60fps. So in order to fix this...

1.You go to the fallout4pref and change the iPresetInterval=0. This will unlock the games fps link to the monitor.
2.Then you go into your graphic control panel and manually set the max FPS to be 60(+adding Virtual Pre-renders might help stability if unstable game). IF you DONT do this, it will break the game because you computer will pump more frames that the game won't handle.

For Fullscreen, many guides shows going through the fallout4pref.ini to setup the fullscreen=1 and etc.. but it wouldn't work even if that did happen.
I saved the file and launch but... it doesn't work.

Then after dealing with another game issue of not being able to save the game files because it would go to the documents but since it is linked to Onedrive it wouldn't save properly and i would lose my saved files.

So after I made my "documents" files LOCAL file only; unlinking from onedrive; it would finally save the game progress.

So it got me wondering about F4 with the fallout4pref file not actually saving and applying the correct settings it should.

Now i have launched my game with no issues and works like how I would setup the local account on the computer.

The image shows my document being Local; if it was onedrive linked it would state onedrive on the file directory.

Hopefully this will help with your issues of having faulty launches.

Or just launch Fallout 4 from Geforce experience. It adjusts the resolution automatically or you can manually select it through optimise

I suggest editing the Resolution in the INI's to 640 x 480 or lower with Beth INI and see if it plays at the very least if nothing else works.at least you will get more FPS
