454 Build Challenge 2 - Lord Bison (The Incredi-boat)

Description
This vehicle was made for the "Starter Boat Gloat" Challenge by 454SS

This boat can be spawned in the Starter size workbenches.
*Sorry for the lack of pictures, time got away from me.*

My 1 Workshop Micro Controller is done by: Archades Engineering Corp. It is a map display and visual way point finder.

I would like to give a big thank you to the Devs who have worked their magic and restored the game to pretty much normal. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Murlanian Vehicle Works is proud to present "The Incredi-boat". Built from imagination as some of us may find the starter size workbench just a wee bit small for some creations we would like to build yet have limited space. This is the product of letting the imagination "unfold". Full pun intended here as this boat unfolds and transforms into a much larger and capable boat. With seating up to 14 people.

Boasting 2 Jet turbines engines & powering a Large Generator, this power plant can handle up to 6 Med Electric Motors simultaneously. This Vessel is also capable of reaching speeds up to 25-26 Meters/Sec.

Equipped with a 4 person medical bay and plenty of other equipment for emergencies, inside the medical bay, hides a crane to help lift the spirits of your adventures. The crane can be controlled via the control handle inside the helm house or by radio control. The remotes are located in the supply cabinets on the deck in front of the med bay.

At the Bow of the ship, is the extended range Fluid Cannon. Simply hop on the rear control handles, make sure it is in the proper config and blast those fires to a smouldering mess. Additionally at the bow is a hose connection for any need of manual spraying.

Inside the boat there are two ballast tanks that are filled with Jet Fuel for extra distance. Jet Turbines are thirsty units. Typical speeds around 15-20 M/sec can be maintained around 50% throttle on the turbines.

Although it has a Helipad, it does not come with a Helicopter. It will support the Ray RX-118 with the blades powered. However, the Ray RX-14 and similar are a good size for it, but will require changing landing gear, to Mag-alls facing downward. The same Logic can be used.

**NOTE** Since the Space DLC release and subsequent updates, this boat has some quirks.

1: It can get stuck in the Auto Unfold Sequence. If the tower gets stuck, there is a Toggle button in the helm house to manually engage the tracks. If the Med Bay gets stuck, you will need to respawn. Sometimes with respawning, one must go back into the workbench, load another vehicle, leave the workbench, go back into the workbench, load Incredi-boat again and spawn. This typically works and has ONLY been an issue since the update.

2: Water Jets. Avoid using the reverse command unless the devs have fully addressed the issue. It WILL cause the boat to launch and behave in the most unwanted fashion. (Note: This has been recitfied with HotFix V1.9.16)

Startup Procedure.
Enter Helm House and occupy "The Helm".
1: Locate Key Switch on roof to the right of the helm and turn.
2: If in the Starter Dock, press "W" to engage the front thruster and propel yourself outside the dock area.
3: Press the unlocked button in front of the key switch. "Unfold Ship & Systems ON"
4: Wait for ship to unfold. Approx 50 Second Sequence. Verify Sequence is complete by checking if all 3 Blue lights are on at control handle. Check note if all 3 lights are not on
5: Start Jet Turbines. Under 20RPS is typical for all propulsion modes. Tune up& down as required for optimal battery level & fuel usage.
6" Press the "5" key to select Propulsion mode.
7: Use "W with A&D for driving. AVOID USING THE "S" key for reverse unless Water Jets get another update.

Happy Boating.

Crane Deployment: (This takes some practice)
Control Panels are located on either side of Med Bay.

1: Enter Code: 204.431 & flip switch.
2: Press button to open door.
3: Find a rope located in the many cabinets & set to 2 Meters, then attach to front rope anchor point on the crane.
4: Open either Hatch door on med bay and look for Manual Release Toggle Button. Press once to release brakes for 10 seconds & walk the crane into position on the Deck while listening for the Hard point connection. It may need a good tug when leaving the med Bay, as it has to come down 1 block layer.
5: Open Hatch by Hardpoint and press Hardpoint release button. Then press Brake release and move crane to end of track, to allow custom door to close.
6: Verify door swing clearance.
7: Go back to control panel and close custom door.
8: Go back to Hard point button and turn off to engage the Hardpoint.
9: Attach rope to front anchor (2M) and release brakes and drag unit back until the hardpoint locks in.
10: Use either Control Handle or Remote to control crane.
**NOTE** Use pulse style inputs on the remote. It's not prefect but it works and takes some practice to get used to.

The crane also has a couple of rescue harnesses, or a manual attachment for going in the ocean. The red harness is the control unit and uses keys 1, 2, 3, 4, for Winch up & down, left, right swivel on the crane. If the Harness is connected to the crane, it WILL override the Control Handle and Remote Control access.

Enjoy!!
