Guv's Siege Defense Attrition Mod (Updated 2024-06-26)

Description
I missed this so I fixed it
Sieges has been a huge debate over time on Warhammer 3. The changes, I believe, are overall good. Larger sizes is what I imagined was what everyone asked for and deployables, but it got into a hard start with it
being a glorified tower defence for a while. I think they are good, but the roughest part was the campaign side of sieges. I felt like they never really happened or felt fair.

A mod came along that tried to do something about it in a different way. Siege Defence Attrition Rework by Gejnor.

With his permission, I took the mantle to make my own version of his genious!

What does this Mod do?
  • Roughly a 1000 entries compromising of primarily settlement buildings (major, minor and special) having a scaling siege defence attrition reduction the larger the settlement becomes.
  • Defence buildings like Walls and Garrisons have scaling siege defence attrition reduction as well.
  • Additionally, Gor-Rok have -15% siege defence attrition reduction factionwide.
  • The Great Bastion's race variants also have defensive supplies, for concistency.

Some Info
I've written a disussion topic with all my notes and documentation.
It's quite a lot of details. Hope it helps!

Known Issues
May be incompatiable with other mods that does the same. But it shouldn't crash, just override.

Compatibility
I DON'T make my mods with SFO, Radious or other overhauls in mind!!
Savegame compatiable, no new save required.

Tested with SFO. Nothing unusual, no critical bug has appeared. I think your mod is highly compatible. Great work. I'm a defensive general, your mod has done me a f*ing GREAT favor.
Thank you very much !!!

I've included your excellent mod in an updated video of Best Mods For Grand Strategy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cp3Nc3444x4

Thank you so much for your hard work!

That is just a common case of ( ) in the URL. I just removed it. Looks good!

@Guvenoren Great, I'll kick the tires on it.

The first time I tied to write that comment I also tried to link the previous showcase so you could see what I was talking about but Steam blocked it. Anyway, if you're curious I'm going to be updating this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUwcM8i-cHU&t=397s

I'll probably be testing for a week or so and will be checking in to see if there are any updates to any of the mods in the meantime.

Thank you for your work!

To be honest, sure go ahead. I have updated the mod and it works. I had a weird splurt of updates today because I kept stressing through it. Which is never a good idea.

But do go ahead! Could be fun

@Guvenoren I'm planning to do a showcase collection and video on the best mods to improve the strategic experience post-ToD and I'd like to include this one in the test. Are you comfortable with the state of the mod right now, or would you prefer I wait before testing it?

Sry for the frequent updates. I fucked some stuff up. Sorry
