Viper Mk-2 (7th Millennium)

This is an improved use of internal space over the Mk-1 and utilizes the fact that some weapons can clip through armor in vanilla.

Once again, thank you to the modders that appear next to this blueprint. I believe this Viper is the nearest the game allows to matching the model and behavior depicted in the original series.

The fighter cannot skate side to side, (something that would normally be advantageous in the game) but can charge forward at high speed, and recover from sharp banking turns through the benefit of NiteOwl's dampeners; which have exceptional deceleration, but with poor acceleration you will make regular use of the main thrusters. The result, I think, it flies like a Viper.

Speed mod highly recommended to get the full benefit of this design. If confronted with an enemy that likes to fly sideways, switching the vanilla inertial dampeners off to let yourself drift side to side is still a viable maneuver.
