Book of Spirits - NPC & Monster Name Displayer

Description
Display the names of the npcs and monsters you interact/attack(Like in Castlevania games).
This mod is client sided(i will explain in more detail below). It can be installed mid-game and can be safely unnistalled.

It should be compatible with anything. Mods that add new NPCs and Monster can add built-in support by their authors or other users can make patches for them to display their names and title correctly.

Client side note: While is not neccessary for all the clients to have this mod installed, if the server doesn't have this mod installed but the client does, the mod will not work for clients(doesn't crash or causes log errors or lag).

Non-Steam Version[community.playstarbound.com]

New Modding Guide
I have made a new guide for patching/supporting the mod for modders. You can find The Guide Here.

NEW BIG UPDATE 2.0

This update adds some stuff that i had pending from the release.
  • Generated Monster now have names and custom title which is based on their type and parts patterns. The current list only uses the head for the name since i think that is enough, but more part patterns can be added to affect the name.
  • Rare variants of monsters now have custom title to identify them easier.
  • Added custom title for elite monsters.
  • Added a Steam Guide to make it easier to understand how to patch/support the mod for modders.

Troubleshooting:

The menu icon appears over my head when hitting an enemy!
A: There is probably another mod that is adding back the menu icon for a random reason. You can download the What Menu? mod to remove it completely.

Credits
Thanks to Silver Sokolova for the help of mod detection script("bookofspirits_interact_support.lua").
Thanks to Poine for helping me with the dynamic custom titles for generated monsters.

Interesting side effect of having generated monster attacks enabled is the name includes details about what attack it has.

@Chofranc sounds good, thanks for clarifying

@trappu In the alpha/beta, random monsters could spawn as elite monster which gave them an status effect called elite that increased their HP by x4, damage x2 and immunity to status effects. In the current version from what i read, they only spawn for some quest given by NPCs.

I don't know if other modders have reintroduced them but you will be able to see them if they do.

What exactly is meant by "Elite" monsters? Betabound's generated creatures maybe?

@Renatta Here i made a patch that moves the displayer to the center bottom of the screen: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3150873131

Could you make an alternative version that moves the displayer to the midlde-bottom of the screen please?? I've got a mod that rearranges the whole UI and it happens to put something else on the bottom-right corner of the screen, which makes it impossible to read the monster and NPC name displayer since it covers it completely :steamsad:

@ZAPZONZAL i don't think that is possible to change it dynamically through an in-game option which mean that it would require to manually patch the change. I put the displayer in the bottom right corner because no other UI element occupy that space.

In what location would you like to have it?
