Description
=== Mission Overview ===
Escape from Turmoil is a randomized, episodic, escape the island game. You enter the first zone with just a pistol and a few magazines. You must search for better gear, avoid/eliminate enemy patrols, and get to an exit point within the time limit. Once you exit, you get to keep all the gear you've found for the next zone. Each zone ramps up in difficulty, but also offers better rewards.

Features:
  • solo or coop team play
  • progress is saved
  • choose factions and DLC to use
  • individual stashes
  • many adjustable parameters to suit the game to your liking

=== Starting Location ===
Stash: You have a stash table where you can store any gear you don't want to take into the zone with you. When entering a zone, you risk losing your gear if you are unsuccessful at reaching an exit. Options in the parameters allow you to respawn on death and re-enter the zone to collect your lost gear or not.

Merchant: While exploring the zone you can find money. You can use this money at the merchant to buy ammunition and first aid kits.

Entering the zone: You can enter the zone by using the info stand or by jumpping off the staring ship.

Faction selection: At the start of the game you can choose factions. Player faction will only be used for face/voice selection. Enemy faction is who the enemy in the zone will be. You can select multiple factions and a random one will be chosen from them for each zone.

DLC selection: All the random gear found in the zone will be pulled from the DLC you select. You can select multiple DLC.

=== Zones ===
Exits: Some exits require something from you. Keys, access card, money, or nothing might be required to use the exit. All players within 25m of the exit will all exit when an exit is used. So only one key/access card/money would be required for them all to exit.

Money: Any money you have on you when you exit will be added to your wallet. You can check you balance by opening the map and you will see a 'Money' section in the briefing in the upper left. Money can be used at the merchant to buy supplies. No money is taken into the zone, so if you need money to use an exit you must find some. If you use an exit that requires money, it will take one money from you to exit and you keep the rest.

=== Saving ===
The game is automatically saved on entering and exiting the zone. There is also a 'Save Game' board in the staging area. After saving you can just exit the game.

There is also a parameter that allows you to erase the saved game. There is a parameter button in Arma missions in the upper right before you start the mission.

=== Parameters ===
The mission has many parameters. The description of all the parameters can be found in the mission briefing.

This is a coop mission, so it can only be played in the multiplayer part of Arma, although you can play it solo and private without being accessible to anyone else. This is how to play this mission:

Launch Arma. Once it's started select 'multiplayer' then 'server browser'
At the top select 'host server'. A list of settings will show up. Look at the 'HOST' option. If you have it set to 'LAN' then it will be a private game. Click the 'Host Server' button.
Next you should choose the map on the left, and the mission on the right.
Then click 'play'.

@Shy Option to use faction gear instead of randomized level adjusted gear is in the game now.

I'll add 'non randomized enemy gear' as an option. The reason they are randomized is that the game scales from low power to high power items as you progress through the zones. If you don't have randomized enemy gear, then you can get high level gear right from the start by killing an enemy. However, it should be pretty easy to add the option.

There should be stashes about. There is a picture (above here on the workshop page). Look for the picture that says 'Searchable Items'. Those are the things you would be looking for.

would you add an option to make the weapons and gear wont get randomized for factions? also is it just me or i can't find any type of stashes anywhere?

I've added the option for having 2 enemy factions. I didn't play with it too much, but I'm guessing it might be a little easier. Try it out and let me know how it plays (or if you find any bugs) :-)

Looking forward to see it!

Interesting idea. I'll add it to the ideas list I keep.

Great scenario! Would be cool if there is a chance for 2 factions spawn into the zone and fight each other

Thanks for catching that. I'll fix it.
