Description
Ever felt like the Shinobi Thieves were a little... underwhelming?
Like a guild of legendary assassins shouldn’t be running a discount membership program out of a makeshift tree fort?

Problem solved — this rework aims to make the Shinobi feel like a real underground network, not a starter club for fresh drifters.

🔪 New Item: Assassin’s Dagger 🔪
A medical item with -100 quality that makes bleeding much worse, killing downed enemies quickly.
Sold exclusively by Shinobi Thieves traders.
Belt-slot equippable, but still must be in inventory/backpack to function. Equip it to your belt to prevent your crew from using it on themselves.

🦝 Shinobi Guild Changes 🦝
The Shinobi Thieves are now:
• Harder to join — membership fee raised to 35,000 cats
• Better equipped — improved weapon and armor quality across the guild
• Easier to identify — plus gear variety makes them feel like a diverse squad
• Traders wear armored hoods
• Surgeons wear square goggles
• Ninja guards wear black plate
• Thieves wear ninja gi
• Richer and more stocked — expanded vendor inventory and cats on hand
• Potential access to rare goods — such as robotic Stealth Legs and other thief/assassin-style tools

Even in vanilla, the Shinobi maintain multiple towers across the world. This modded version of them reflects a faction that actually has the strength and resources to survive Kenshi’s ecosystem.

🩹 Why the Assassin’s Dagger Exists 🩹
There is a similar mod, Bleeder’s Needle by Flandre Mayor, but it lacks a unique icon and visually overlaps with toothpicks. This dagger provides the same purpose — a clean way to finish off enemies — while being immediately recognizable, and optionally disabled via belt-slot equip if you want to avoid accidents.

💭 My Thoughts 💭
The Shinobi always felt like they should be powerful — a faction thriving in the cracks of society, guiding smugglers and cutpurses from the shadows. This update aims to bring them closer to that fantasy:
• More presence in the world
• More thematic gear spread
• A reason you might want access to their black market
• A joining fee that actually means something

It's been updated! We must have the same vibes because I was just thinking about reducing it. I feel like I'm always making ~40k after my first big thieving trip, so 50k was getting kinda annoying.

I try to incorporate glitches into my RPs. Recently my rear turret guard had a moment where the AI could not target a group of Dust Bandits breaking down my gates. I decided to RP that he fell asleep on the job. After the fight I punished him to work in the mines for a week.

@fuqkspqmmers It is still considered a medical item, so it does have charges. Perhaps you simply used up the item? Otherwise, I'm not sure. I can try to test further over the weekend.

this mod was realy realy good i loved the dager to bad it stop working for no apparent reason :(

the dagger stop working after the first time i finish it . somone know why ?

The dagger is honestly the best part of this mod. Not that the Thieves actually having actual ♥♥♥♥ in their inventory isn't needed, its a great touch, but the daggers are easily the best part of this. Be warned, new players who haven't tried this yet, those daggers don't come cheap.
