Description
S.T.A.R.S.…!

Nemesis-T Type from the survival horror series Resident Evil joins Rivals of Aether! His sole purpose is to eliminate any surviving members of S.T.A.R.S.… but first, he’ll need to kill anyone that tries to stand in his way. Nemesis is a large, brutal heavyweight with a playstyle that focuses on long-reaching attacks. No matter how much you try to run, he’ll always be in pursuit…

Mechanic: T-Virus

As a tyrant-type B.O.W, Nemesis is enhanced with the T-Virus and thus can withstand great amounts of physical trauma. Along with his heavy weight, Nemesis can also armor through projectiles while he’s walking or running, shrugging them off head-on! Be warned, however, as even Nemesis has his limits– as his percentage rises, this passive armor becomes less and less effective.

That’s not the only benefit the T-Virus provides. Nemesis’ tentacles are capable of stabbing opponents at its ends, meaning that landing the tipper sweetspot of any tentacle normal will not only deal increased damage, but also infect opponents! Opponents infected with the T-Virus will experience rapid necrosis, making them take slight damage every time they perform an attack. That’s not all– both Nemesis’ FSpecial and DSpecial are more deadly when used on infected opponents.

All is not without hope if you’re infected while fighting Nemesis, however. Opponents can obtain one-time-use vaccines through various means in matches against him, used by pressing DOWN + PARRY. Vaccines will cure you of any infection and also render you immune to further infection temporarily.

Special Moves

Neutral Special: Rocket Launcher

Nemesis fires a rocket from his signature rocket launcher that explodes on contact. When used in the air, he’ll fire at a downwards angle instead– this can also be used to stall his descent once per airtime. Try performing NSpecial out of a shorthop to catch opponents who try to low-profile your rockets!

Forward Special: Tentacle Slam / Tentacle Impale

A command grab in which Nemesis grabs his opponent with his tentacle before brutally slamming them against the floor. Normally a simple combo starter, this move becomes radically different when used against an opponent who’s infected– Nemesis will instead impale them, which deals massive damage and knockback!

Up Special: Tyrant Deployment

Nemesis performs a high jump, which deals damage both on his way up and during his descent. While this move is slow and doesn't provide Nemesis much horizontal coverage, it also possesses soft armor, allowing him to tank through any weaker attacks that could interrupt him.

Down Special: Mass Outbreak

Nemesis picks up a large chunk of debris and slams it into the ground, displaying his destructive strength in a slow but powerful attack. That’s not all– from the wreckage, a zombie will also emerge! This zombie will slowly wander around the stage and attack any opponents that get near, infecting them with the T-Virus while doing so. Zombie attacks become much more lethal if the opponent is already infected– they’ll grab them and bite them for multiple hits instead, which not only deals more damage, but could also secure a kill for Nemesis.

Nemesis’ other specials have interactions with the zombie– NSpecial will cause it to explode, making the explosion deal more damage in addition to infecting opponents; FSpecial and USpecial can be used to manipulate the zombie’s position. Zombies can be slain by taking enough damage from opponents– they’ll drop a vaccine when killed as well.

@SevenXOnYT it's only on the player tag "funky!", it has to be all lowercase– rivals doesn't let you input lowercase letters in-game so you have to edit one of your profiles' names in your local files

Pro tip for Nem Mains Just bind short hop and profit.

Nair is insanely fast for its hitbox size.
Fair is a great poke vs. medium-to-tall character.
Nspecial is more useful in the air due to its angle and hit's more characters'
Dspecial goes a little further in the air, even if only slightly, due to its air-exclusive hop.
Fspecial's hit box is just a sideways rectangle in front of you, so being slightly in the air doesn't
Give much for more air coverage.

So why not just short hop for all these upgraded options?

I have to say this is by far my favorite character in the workshop. I've been waiting for an amazing character in RE to come out on this game and it was my favorite tyrant too. Thank you to all the people who helped make this character, you made such a great tyrant. Only thing I would like is a classic skin that has all the old voice lines and sounds. Keep doing great.

Something about the zombie hitting people seems to be crashing Abyss Endless. I can probably solve it by just not summoning zombies or by throwing away any I accidentally summon but figured I should tell you.

Couldn't ask for a better icon of horror to enter this game!
I look forward to your next character (if you have one planned)

All the S.T.A.R.S. for this one!

He pairs greatly with Dingodile.
