A fantastic way to plan out your outposts and craftables

Starfield Resource Calculator[www.starfieldresourcecalculator.com]

I'm constantly updating this. Please feel free to contact me with any feedback, feature ideas, bugs that need fixing, etc. I've got a lot more plans, but I want to start with the ones that will be the most useful.

Features

  • From the Pick Parts column, select the buildings and craftables that you want in your base.

  • Your choices will show up in the Parts list and the the necessary resources and manufactured components will show up in the Requirements column.

  • You can adjust how many things you'll need using the plus and minus buttons. It takes two Helium-3 Extractors to keep a Fueled Generator going.

  • If your buildings produce or consume power, you'll see the net power usage in the Requirements column

  • You can choose to break down your Manufactured Resources components into requirements and add them to your list.

  • You can adjust your character's skill level bonuses to show reduced cost.

  • Your choices will save in your browser even if you close the window or tab.

  • You can use it on your phone so you don't have to alt+tab between windows while you're playing.

  • You can even download it as an app so you're not dependent on your browser.

SANDBOX MODE
As of 9/29 You can enable SANDBOX MODE in the about section

Do you want your resources in a hurry? Check out sandbox mode.

UPDATES
As of 10/24/23:
  • The main outpost functionality has now been fully expanded to all workbenches including the pharmacy lab, and cooking lab.
  • You can now save your outpost information for up to five different bases and rename them to help you keep track of your empire.
  • - I'm happy to add more outpost slots if there is demand for them
  • The outpost and industrial workbench pages now calculate the mass of the items in the requirements column.
  • - I'll be adding this to the other workbenches when I can.

If you have thoughts about things that would make this useful, my contact info is on the page in the about section[www.starfieldresourcecalculator.com].

As of 10/9/23:
The calculator is now actually calculating added components again!
Added the beginning of Research Calculating and Crafting Calculating as well as a UI update.

Thank you so much! I was trying to figure out how to make an excel document for this but was just confusing myself. This is even better.

How is this not at the top of the guides list right now? This is incredible work, thank you.

I'm glad to hear someone is using the multiple base feature. If people want more base slots, I can easily put them in. I just didn't know if anyone would even use the few that are there.

@Frak
Works like a charm now, thank you! (I really like the new addition for multiple bases, too.)

Thanks for the feedback. The list switching should be fixed now.

I just found this while searching for calculators and I love it! One thing I've noticed, though, is that it appears the 'Build List' section will move itself around whenever you add something to it. (It looks like it just flips itself.) I noticed this whether I manually increased an item with the +/- buttons or spammed clicking on the same item under 'Outpost Buildings'.

*waves* I commented on your reddit post about your calc a while back. Let me know if you want to swap ideas. :)

This is a great resource. And I just found one for telling me what I need for various research goals as well. My life is now complete.
