A lot of Nova Prospekt put together in one very large map.

//Requirements//
Nothing should be required as it should all be packed into the bsp. The map file itself should be "rp_nova", minus the quotation marks.

Do note that while no game should be required, the size and scope of the map might cause some issues for users on lower end PCs despite rigorous optimization. As well, be aware that despite attempts to prevent conflicts, other workshop items might still conflict with assets used in the map.

//Gameplay//
  • Combination of areas from seven different maps from d2_coast_11 all the way to d2_prison_06.
  • Rebel camp and Combine depot for various faction plays.
  • Spawn room with the ability to turn on and off several AIs and teleports to the depot or Rebel camp.
  • Togglable Antlions with togglable ally status.
  • Usable mounted turrets.
  • Togglable thumpers.
  • Alarms in various places.
  • Numerous enterable cells.
  • Vortigaunt zapping room.
  • Several security cameras throughout the map that can be toggled through several different monitors.
  • Explodable propane tank in the yard and explodable stove in the kitchen in the cafeteria.
  • Nodegraph

While in the Gmod Sandbox mode, any dead bodies, blood stains, activated map scripts or other changes can be cleaned/reset using this: Pressing Q -> Utilities -> Admin -> Cleanup -> Cleanup Everything

//Development//
This has been one of the most difficult maps I have done in a while, having an off and on production for who knows how long. A lot of this has been due to gameplay as I have been trying to figure out what to actually have the players do and where and how. I believe I have now settled on several things that should work towards a nice Rebel v. Combine dynamic.

The merging of the map and creating a nice flow was relatively simple however, though a few very noticeable changes have had to be made in order to get that to work. But I think these changes work immensely well.

This one has been requested several times over, and I hope it was worth the wait!

Npcs cannot move up the stairwell on the bottom floor of that section with the office, railing vantage points, and 3 floors including the bottom. I try to do an attack and defend thing but then my squad members or the attackers won't pursue into the office because they are unable to move up from the bottom floor. Otherwise they move around fine it's just that particular set of stairs. Could you do a quick navemesh or stair fix whichever it is causing the issue? Pretty pls?

Insanely impressive work imo, stitching all these pieces together and ofc nice work with the pre-wars. Absolutely one of my favorite maps of all time. Are you planning to do more of these Half-Life 2 chapter maps in the future, like entire coast or c17 war or maybe some parts of ep2 outlands? Would be exciting to know what you're working on next whatever it is.
