The Fuso-Ko was started when Hokkaido Heavy Works realized that Fuso- M2's and M3's could not haul 3 or more Fuso M2U's along for long distances. So out of desperation, they assembled the Fuso-Ko out of several M2 frames
It runs the same tracks utilized by the M2's and M3's, and now uses not one, but two KO I-35X100/B's, it is geared down 9;1 by the transmission to rear sprockets allowing it to pull a consist of maximum 6 M2U's before losing it's speed.

It has a M3 cab with heating and two provided artic coat, to shield operators from the harsh elements. it has the M3 towbar in the rear with a reinforced structure that can handle the stress of pulling a lot of trailers. It has a fuel load of 2700 liters and has no documented fastest speed, but easily outpaces the M2 and keeps up with the M3, so it is in the middle range of speed.
