Description
IMPORTANT!
This mod is a stand-alone version, meaning that you do not need the base version of "Expanded Tank Designer - Fixed!" in order for this to work.

Updated to version 1.13 and AAT!




This mod is the compatibility version of "Expanded Tank Designer - Fixed!" for "Road to 56".

AI should be able to use the designer, in case you see weird behavior on it's part do let me know

the only fix this needs is the AI but this mod is basicaly perfect for everything else,u can make perfectly accurate modern day tanks,veichles and spg; i dont play this mode when im doing ww2 games but i love this for modern day roleplay and ovveral mode modern warfare system and stuff.

I had to disable it since the AI is just not using tanks, armored cars or troop transports.

This mod should've been part of the base game and at some point you may end up with enough mil factories to spend on incredibly expensive uber armored panzers with night vision and the latest model of every tech but the AI just gets stuck with the radio modules in the wrong slots and they just end up in late 1940 with no armored vehicles of any kind.

First of all, thanks for the great mod.
the problem is that "the AI does not automatically design new tanks". It seems to me that this is caused by them failing to design the right tanks. I have the R56 mod installed and playing.
They are indeed designing tanks. But, for example, they try to mount two radios, (USA AI placed improved radios in the upper module slots of the M4 Sherman and many other tanks. This is an impossible maneuver for us players). or attempt to place modules in inappropriate locations. (In the case of the USA M18 Hellcat, the EQ_MOD_CAT_hull_mod_TITLE module (sloped armor) was added to the upper module
We also found that the AI will try to produce and employ appropriate tanks designed by the player; letting the AI design them appropriately seems to be the solution to the problem,

This mod is great, but there seems to be a balancing issue in the late game. I've been experimenting with a bunch of different division and equipment designs, and I've noticed that the mechanized equipment is so powerful that it just blows all tanks out of the water. The strongest "tank division" I could make was actually just all mechanized and no tanks. I'm not sure if that's the case at every stage, as I've only tested with modern mechanized and the most advanced of each tank version (light, med, heavy and modern tanks, TDs and SPGs)
