[August 11, 2024] PlateUp! Fully Loaded Update
The latest update introduced a bug in the base game. Until this is fixed (which seems to be planned), please temporarily subscribe to PlatePatch, which fixes this and other issues with mods from the 1.2.0 update.

About
Frustrated that cleaning up at the end of the day does you no good, with no reward? Look no further!

By keeping your restaurant sparkling clean, you can earn yourself up to 20% in bonus income every day! If you wash all of the dirty plates before the day ends, you'll be granted an 8% bonus to the day's earnings. Likewise, you'll receive another 8% bonus for cleaning all messes on the floor. Finally, get a 4% bonus for emptying your trash bins. These bonuses will show up as Dish Washer, Floor Buffer, and Compactor Bin in the end-of-day earnings breakdown.

Installation
[❌] Client only - If you have it installed, it will work for you, always.
[✔️] Host only - As long as the host has it installed, mod features will work for everyone.
[❌] All players - Everyone needs to have it installed to work properly.

Features
  • Clean all of your dirty dishes before the day ends for an 8% income bonus
    • Dishwashers and soaking sinks need to finish their washing cycles
    • Note: if no dishes are used during the day (for example, bakery or cafe runs), this bonus does not apply
  • Clean all floor messes before the day ends for an 8% income bonus
    • Note: if no floor messes are created during the day (for example, the floor is covered in rugs/robot buffers), this bonus does not apply
  • Take out all of the trash before the day ends for a 4% income bonus
    • Compactor bins and burning compostable trash bags need to finish processing
    • Note: if no trash cans are used or no trash bags are generated during the day, this bonus does not apply
  • If there are still items to be cleaned at the end of the day, you get an additional 5 seconds to try to finish

Known Issues
  • During bonus cleaning time, the trash bonus can sometimes inadvertently be granted

Planned Features
  • Add bonus for cleaning messes
  • Add time at the end of the day to allow for additional cleaning (5 seconds)
  • Add trash bin/bag bonus

I've found that even if you do use Compactor Bins throughout the day (running Steak, have Bone-In bones to throw away) you DO NOT get the bonus at the end of the day if they are the only Bins you use, so the mod is not counting Compactor Bins as "using a trash can". Nor does it count throwing something directly away outside, as me and my roommate typically just use that for the last bone to get to the dish faster. That part may not be a bug but it still feels odd that if you just deal with all your trash directly you don't get a bonus for it.

We've been ensuring that the Compactor Bins are done before the end of day extension kicks in so that isn't the problem, because we throw the last bone outside and all.

Still, a very neat mod and it's going to really help with just a little bit of extra income for our up-coming franchise. Thanks for the mod!

@skyequakes Yup! It's updated now, but a new dependency is temporarily required until the base game is updated to fix an issue.

@Emilie no, this mod currently does not have any other dependencies or requirements. if that ever changes, ill be sure to list them

@Vladimir4757 im currently working on a feature to add around 10 seconds or so to the end of the day to allow for final cleaning. there are other ways to help ensure you get the cleaning bonus, but these are exercises best left for the reader :)
