Some time after I began working on a project that would later become gm_trainride_v1, I thought of knocking it into one with an idea of making a train station map which would allow players to use a parked train to travel to a completely separate area with multiple infinitely moving trains. Kind of like a reverse desert bus, which I used as an inspiration for the idea.

Thus began the struggle on making what's now called gm_traintown. Took some stuff from my older unfinished projects, spent several months building it up, learning a lot about mapping and Source engine in general as a result. Although, Source's limitations didn't allow for my insane ambitions to be a reality, so I stopped working on it indefinitely, and the map was abandoned a little more than half a year before gm_trainride_v1 was released.

Recently as I picked up my janky work on gm_trainride_v2, I found this precious and incomplete little project in my files and decided to ditch the now redundant moving trains area, stitch it up to make it at least playable and not very buggy, shove this crap into a candy wrapper and drop it on the Workshop in pursuit of preservation of my work and as a testament to my development as a Source engine mapper. My files have a sh*t ton of similar unfinished projects, so you might see me releasing something else in following months.

So, to top it off, the map is not finished and not very well polished, and to make it such it would have to take several other weeks or even months, which means I'm not going to be releasing any patches, fixes or updates for the map(unless it's plain broken). Plus, I finally have gm_trainride_v2 to take care of.
