Constellation HQ (The Lodge) Basement
In Constellation HQ there is a basement to the right of spawn which leads to a room with all of the major workbenches.

This area consists of three storage boxes and three ammo cases with unlimited storage. A storage box with unlimited space is denoted by this icon on the bottom of the box.

Storage Box 1:

Storage Box 2 (in the adjacent room):

Storage Box 3 (in another adjacent room):

Ammo Cases 1-3 (Next to the weapon workbench):

These are helpful containers as they are right next to all the major workbenches. I recommend keeping your stuff here and simply taking what you need to an outpost instead of trying to keep your resources at 50 different outposts. Hopefully this guide helps someone as the storage situation in Starfield is currently a major issue for Bethesda game item hoarders such as myself.

Note that there is also an unlimited storage safe in the room you are provided during the main questline, however, these containers are not only closer to spawn, they are right next to the workbenches.

I would like to had unlimited in our outpost similar to fallout 4 workshop, it's much easier to work to build and crafting outpost from there with cargo link. Oh well.

@MPLS GTR I have used these containers for two playthroughs now and nothing has ever reset. I believe the game might consider them player storage as they are in The Lodge and not at a random location. I cannot say with 100% certainty that this is true however.

Thanks for this post! I knew the two storage location in the basement were unlimited but never noticed the 'Mass - / - ' at the bottom...
Also, as a maintenance task before it is thoroughly researched, maybe just collect all your junk from these containers once every week or two and immediately drop it back in the container to reset any 'counters', if there are any.
I found out the hard way that storing things at Abandoned Facilities isn't a good idea as they reset after a couple of in-game days...

I can only imagine that any updates to the game in the future might fix this, I doubt this is intentional but an oversight and if it gets patched, good bye storage.

it's nice that its infinite, but ultimately it's useless.

Pro tip: Use this mod Increased Ship Transfer Distance to manage inventory: https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/1395

You can Fast Travel to the Lodge basement, for example, and easily manage moving your ship inventory to the infinite storage boxes. No more round trips to empty the ship cargo before heading out. Also works on missions, when you need to unencumber by moving some cargo to the ship hold so you can fast travel.

Bonus is it does not affect the achievements like console commands will.

One of the best QOL mods out there, next to StarUI.

in new atlantis spaceport, directly behind your ship, there is a room that is locked by keycard and a guy standing guard. but there is a hackable novice console to the right that opens the door. inside is a big storage box with infinite storage as well as some contraband.

@Ephidel Cross Wow didn't know that. Thanks. That can be helpful for me since I'm a kleptomaniac T_T

There is an infinite storage in your room as well.

@Jack'lul I'm not sure how many in game days I had in my first play through, but I feel it had to have been over 30 days. I'll go in game and check though and update the guide if anything disappears.
