There's a quest where you have 4 attempts to equalize the generator power to 60 Kilowattz. As there were no other guides online when I searched I figured it out myself, and made this.

How to equalize the generators

So you have this quest? Then you are already at the quest area so no need to mention where that is.

Head inside the building where there will be a computer.
once you open it you will see the KiloWattz level of each generator.

A: 50
B: 90
C: 40

First start off with transferring 20kW from B to C

It should become:
A: 50
B: 70
C: 60

Now, move on to the next and transfer 20kW from B to A

It should become:
A: 70
B: 50
C: 60

Now transfer 30kW from A to B

It should become:
A: 40
B: 80
C: 60

Lastly transfer 20kW from B to A

It should become:
A: 60
B: 60
C: 60

And Voila! You are done with the Puzzle. Congratulations, and have a great journey onwards explorer :-)

Mine is 80/50/50 with three attempts

I've had this quest three times prior, this being my fourth, & each time it has different settings.
in yours it's;
A: 50
B: 90
C: 40

I didn't write down the previous settings but in this one it is;
A=30
B=100
C=50

Lol! I'm not very good with math so the first one I got disgusted and let it blow. The second one i didn't even attempt, the third one I guess I got lucky as it worked. By the time you read this it will be over but to me this is very fwuswating!

@Drizz: Actually, I haven't found it yet, mainly because I finished my first playthrough shortly after I asked this question and haven't touched the game since. So, thanks for your reply - better late than never :-).

Hi Sumatris, this might be a bit late to answer but honestly I didn't see the comment before now. At this point you have probably found the quest already, but it is a random quest encounter where you are tasked with helping a scientist who is outside a research base to equalize the generators I believe. Once you enter the research base you get the option to do this puzzle to help her equalize them.

What quest is this? Seems I missed yet another one. The game throws so many empty crap at the player that the interesting stuff just gets overlooked -.- .
