This is a comprehensive guide detailing a way of getting for all achievements in the game. If you have never played this game or are just hunting for achievements, this guide will show you how to get them all.

The search function of a browser may be used to find a specific achievement faster (Ctrl+F).
I wish you success in getting all the in-game achievements

Work in progress: work on this guide is still ongoing. Maybe now it looks like just a list of achievements, but it will not be so for long. Very soon, I will update each achievement with a detailed description and a screenshot or video explaining how to unlock it.

Thank you for you patience!

Achievement Info
More than a decade after the release of Skyrim and 8 years after the release of Fallout 4, Bethesda Game Studios presents the first game in an entirely original franchise. Maybe this is the beginning of a new legendary game series, but in any case, Starfield is a good reason to earn even more achievements for any achievement hunters. Forward, to infinity and beyond!

New Game, Old Achievements
Bethesda Game Studios is true to its old style, so if you've been hunting for achievements in other solo RPGs from this studio, then you can roughly guess what kind of achievements you can get. You can even compare Starfield's achievements to those of Fallout 4 or Skyrim and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Quest log is your friend
Complete both main story and side quests, including miscellaneous missions. The game world is quite large, there are a lot of characters in it and they all need your help. Do not hesitate to fulfill their requests, because you will not only receive XP and useful loot, but also unlock achievements

Your personal Millennium Falcon
Some of the achievements are related to space and planet exploration, mining of minerals, as well as your spaceship. Visit planets, buy your ship, change and modify and this will give you access to more achievements.

The space around you is alive
The space is full of densely populated planets, the people you meet along the way pursue their own goals and interests. Various factions are fighting each other for power and we have the right to decide which of them to join. Each faction opens up its own ways of solving problems and the style of passing, so only you are free to decide who to be in this space

Beware of spoilers
unlocking some of the achievements will come with spoilers - I'll have to go into detail about quests, characters, and some other nuances that can spoil your experience of the game if you plan to play it on your own. If the spoilers do not scare you, then you can safely use this guide, otherwise, return when the important plot twists are already known to you.

Once you are in space, this achievement will be yours.

🚀 Fixer

Activities are a type of side mission in your quest log. They are very short one-step quests, usually for talking to a person that gives a new quest, or for tutorial tasks like crafting an item for the first time. Each time a companion wants to talk to you it also counts as an activity.

You can track how many of them you completed by pressing TAB — Status — Mission — Activities Completed.
🚀 Privateer

Misc Missions are short side quests usually given by NPCs. You can track them by pressing Tab, then go to Missions — Misc.

Terminal Missions are infinitely repeatable bounty hunts. They are started from Mission Terminals in the populated main cities, often in pubs. You will have to do a Terminal Mission as part of joining the Freestar Collective. Then you can keep accepting new missions from the Terminal.

You can track how many missions completed by pressing TAB — Status — Mission — Side Quests completed. Important tips here is that fractions missions also counted for this achievements too.
🪐 I Use Them For Smuggling

🪐 Chief Engineer

Travel to Star System Alpha Centauri and land to planet called Jemison. Fast travel to Landing Site: New Atlantis. From the landing pad go straight ahead and you will find a man called “Ship Service Technician”, standing next to the Trade Authority Kiosk (vending machine). Talk to him and pick dialogue “I’d like to view and modify my ship”. Click on any category of your ship and switch out any part, doesn’t matter which one.
🪐 Fleet Commander

This is cummulative achievement that does not require from you to own all ten ships simultaneously. So if you sell your ship and then buy new one then this still will count to this achievement.

You can buy ships from Ship Service Merchants. They are found at the landing pads of all major cities. Talk to them and check what ships they have available. But even if you don`t want to buy a new ship you can just steal ship for free and it will count towards the achievement too even without registering them at a Technician.

🪐 Stellar Cartography/The Stars My Destination

There are 111 Star Systems in Starfield. All these Star Systems can be viewed by fully zooming out on the Starmap. They are all available from the start.
🪐 Boots on the Ground

As you progress through the game, you will have to travel through space many times and visit various planets. In order to visit a planet, you need to open the star map, then select the desired planet and press X in order to fast travel to it. After that, you need to scan the planet by pressing R and select a landing zone.

The number of planets visited can also be viewed in the statistics menu: TAB - B button - Exploration - Planets Landed On.
🛰️ Dust Off/Traveler/Elite/Space Opera/ Reach For The Stars

Gain experience in all possible ways: complete story and side missions, find new locations, destroy enemies on planets and in outer space, modify weapons and more.

Getting to level 100 in the game is the longest achievement in the game and will require a lot of grinding experience. This achievement affects the total time to get all the achievements in the game.

🛰️ Home Sweet Home

A fairly simple achievement: you have the possibility to build an outpost on the planets of your choice. In total, a player can have up to 8 outposts at the same time. On the star map, select the planet you like and scan it for resources. Choose a good place to create your base and land on the surface of the planet.

After landing, turn on your scanner with the F key and then place the outpost beacon with the B key. The constructed beacon creates a zone around itself for construction and you can create your own settlement from the resources mined on the planet.

🛰️ Shipping Magnate

This achievement will require a huge amount of resources from you and it is associated with the construction of an outpost, so I strongly recommend finding a planet with rich resources and pre-saving before starting in order to be able to load the save if something goes wrong.

In addition, the description of the achievement is written incorrectly: to get the achievement, you need to build 6 outposts, because they can only be connected in pairs, therefore, you need at least 3 pairs of outposts. Do not forget also about the maximum limit of 8 outposts for a player.

Build 6 different outposts on the same planet as close to each other as possible to make cargo chain easier and faster for your goods.
Build Cargo Link from miscellaneous category for each outpost. This structure is available from the beginning, so it doesn’t require any skills or research projects.
Make your way to the Cargo Link pralform to use a terminal on it. On this terminal you can choose which Outpost to link it to. When you done everything right then it will show a green link icon.
Link all 6 outposts to 3 pairs to unlock the achievement. If you build only 5 outposts, then it won’t have a free Outpost to link with which will mean that you have not met the achievement conditions. That's what the sixth outpost in this chain is for.
🛰️ Life Begate Life/ Rock Collection

Organic Resources are anything gathered from plants and creatures (Adhesive, Pigment, Fiber, Sealant and etc). Inorganic Resources are any chemical elements gathered from shooting the Cutter at them until they break. You get a Cutter automatically at the start of the game but if you sold it can always buy a new one from merchants.

You can track how many rusources were gathered by you in TAB — Status — Crafting — Organic/Inorganic Resources Gathered.
🛰️ Industrialist

Build your own outpost or travel to any of yours that already have been built.
Build an Extractor over a Resource Vein.
Build a power source to launch the Extractor. Make sure that source has enough power for the Extractor.
Build a Solid, Liquid or Gas Storage Container which depends on the resource type your are mining. Each container can hold smth about 120 resources total.
Connect Resource Extractor to the Storage to start producing resources.

After you start the resource extraction system, you just have to wait until the container is gradually filled with extracted resources. You can continue your game and do other things, or you can build 5 extractors and gain all resources at the same time. In order to unlock achievements, it will be enough to just collect 500 of any resources in this way.
🛰️ Soldier of Fortune

Weapons can be modded at Weapon Workbenches. One can be found in the basement of the Lodge, your base of operations where you meet the Constellation faction (System: Alpha Centauri > Planet: Jemison > Landing Site: The Lodge). At the start of the building turn right and go downstairs to the basement, turn right to see the Weapon Workbench.
At the workbench select a weapon and click “Modify”.

🛰️ Replicator

For this you must craft 100 Items at the Industrial Workbench & Pharmaceutical Lab. These can be found in the basement of the Lodge, your base of operations where you meet the Constellation faction (System: Alpha Centauri > Planet: Jemison > Landing Site: The Lodge). At the start of the building turn right and go downstairs to the basement, there you find workbenches of all types.
The quickest method is to buy the required resources from merchants, they restock their inventory after you sleep for 48 hours.

Go to System: Alpha Centauri > Planet: Jemison > Landing Site: New Atlantis > from the landing pad walk straight ahead until you reach the open area with the train station, turn left and enter the shop “Jemison Mercantile” > talk to the merchant inside. Buy all Resources you need for cheap items, craft them in lodge, sleep 48h for merchant to restock, repeat. Resources are fairly cheap and the merchant has a lot of them, so this shouldn’t take long at all.

🛰️ Thirst for Knowledge

🛰️ War of Angels

“Quantum Essence” is a unique resource dropped by “Starborn” and “Guardian” enemies. They are the powerful astronauts that teleport into some places and use stealth tech to become invisible. You only encounter them later in the story. Upon defeating these enemy types, it will show a popup in the top right corner “You have Gained 1 Quantum Essence”. This happens automatically, you don’t need to manually pick it up, can’t miss it.

“Starborn” are met multiple times during the story. They spawn at most of the artifacts that you collect from mines/caves later in the story.

“Guardians” spawn after each of the Temples from the “Power from Beyond” questline (automatically starts after Main Mission 05: Into the Unknown). There are 26 Temples total but 2 are story-related and don’t have a Guardian. The remaining 24 Temples each have 1 Guardian = 24 Quantum Essences total.

🛰️ Jacked In

The best approach is to finish the story and 4 Faction Questlines first. You will automatically have to use lots of computers in quest objectives. Along the way, keep a look out for optional computers and interact with any you come across If you don’t have 50 after you’re done with achievement-related quests then just keep exploring in the cities and at landing sites, most of the repeated open world areas with enemies will have a couple for activating robots.

Unlike most other achievements, there is no in-game stat to track how many you got.
🛰️ Cyber Jockey

“Digital Locks” are Starfield’s form of lockpicking. You will often find locked doors, containers and safes. Picking these digital locks requires two things: a “Digipick” (can be bought from shops and often found near locked doors), and the “Security” Skill (purple Tech skill tree).
There are different levels of locks: Advanced > Expert > Master. Each requires a higher level of the “Security” skill. To upgrade this you must pick more locks and invest one skill point. Make it a priority to buy this skill as early as possible, ideally even make it a starting skill. It’s extremely useful to get into locked places. Whenever you see a lock, open it until you have this achievement.

If you don’t have this by the time you are done with the story and the 4 Faction Questlines, then free roam in the populated cities, they usually have a bunch of locks.

🛰️ Another Bug Hunt

This achievements require from you to kill any non-human life forms. Often, various alien animals and beasts fall into this category, both neutral ones that show no interest to your character, and more aggressive forms.

In order for the kill to be counted to your statistics, it is necessary to apply lasthit in such a way that after the death of the creature, the amount of XP gained is displayed on the screen.

If you want to find out how many creatures you have killed, then press TAB and then the B key to open game statistics and then go to the Combat tab. There you can see the number of killed opponents of the desired type.

🛰️ Dark Matter

A cumulative achievement, similar with the one above, that requires you to eliminate any human enemies. In order for the kill to be counted, you need to make the last, mortal hit on the enemy. In this case, an inscription with the amount of experience gained for killing the enemy will appear on the screen.

In order to find out how many opponents you have already killed, just press TAB, then the B key to go to game statistics and then go to the Combat tab. There you can see the number of killed opponents of the desired type.

☄️ The Family You Choose

7 Companions are recruitable during Story Missions: Andreja, Barrett, Heller, Lin, Sam Coe, Sarah Morgan, Vasco.

More companions can be recruited in certain bars or pubs. Fast travel to System Alpha Centauri and land on planet called Jemison. Reach Landing Site: New Atlantis location and walk straight ahead until you reach the open area with the train station, turn left and enter the shop “The Viewport”, then talk to the people inside.

☄️ Starcrossed

There are 4 Main Companions in the game: Sarah Morgan, Sam Coe, Andreja, Barrett (100% confirmed to work for this achievement are Andreja and Sarah, Sam and Barrett still need confirmation). You meet all 4 of them automatically in the Main Story. They are part of The Constellation Faction.

The gender of your own character doesn’t matter for this, the Companions do not care what gender you are (can change gender any time in “Enhance” shops around major cities anyway).
  • Keep traveling with the same companion, get Likes and keep talking to the companion whenever they want.
  • They will give their 1st Quest after a talk. Be nice during their quest and choose the [FLIRT] / [ROMANCE] options. This will make them your girlfriend/boyfriend at the end of the quest.
  • Keep traveling together, when the companion wants to talk choose [COMMITMENT] to get engaged.
  • Keep traveling together until they give their 2nd quest to get married (can take a few hours to get this). Getting married completes the relationship and unlocks the achievement.

To be honest, XEALEEN has one of the worst guide designs on Steam. It often feels like the guide was made by a 10 year old with hyperactivity disorder.

A shame as the written part is actually quite good

Just feedback on the layout, whilst the categories as images look pretty, its really slow to scroll down and also auto opens the image when you click on it when all you do is want to read wats below it.

for "Soldier of Fortune" (mod 50 weapons) there is some very simple mods you can do at the weapon workbench that costs like 1 iron and 1 nickel.. which you can buy for about 20 credits, and they can improve the weapon value by 1000+ credits, depending on the weapon (granted they don't sell for full price) but you literally gain money doing it and work towards the achievement. of course the more valuable the weapon is to start with the more the mod adds to the value.

regarding "Life Begate Life": it seems colecting stuff from animals/creatureswill NOT get the counter up, as you state in your guide, so you should correct that. you can test it yourself by going to "status" --> "crafting" --> "collected organic materials" and see how high the value is, then collect something from animal/creature = WONT go up. do same, collecting plants --> goes up.
i guess thats what happens when you just copy/paste from other sources without confirming and trying it out yourself first.
