There are Youtube videos that show how to do that. This drone is just a blank slate for you to use as you need fit.
Is return to ship on connection lost built in already, or is that a feature I could add if I wanted to?
I built It mostly to get the achievement Planetesphobia and to have an AI squadron aswell that would fly together from a carrier ship. You could take control of one and have 2 others connected to each other programmed to follow the leader and engage hostiles.
Also voxels and blocks can block the signal. but that's why this drone was made with a carrier ship/command center in mind. You can use the ai blocks and event controller to make it fly back to base if it loses connection.
In the end it was made to be an extremely versatile drone that could fill most of any role you need with very few modifications.
I guess the top AND back laser antennas are to help it stay in contact? Pretty expensive... but required for stealth.
What happens to them if they fly to a position where an asteroid is between you and them..? Lost contact. Do they continue to perform their duties until contact is regained, or do they freeze?
