Description
PREPARE... TO BE RATTLED!

Welcome to Spineyard, a spooky payload map set on the Italian coast.

Here, you’ll find not only grapes, but also graves! Push a cart full of explosives through a haunted landscape of creepy coffins, eerie effigies, and scariest of all, Italians! But beware: as you progress, you’ll have to face the wrath of the undead mafia! That’s right, mercenaries — we exhumed some ex-mobsters and gave them a new lease at life! And by life, we mean death! And by lease, we mean guns! Lots and lots of guns!



BEWARE OF THE SKELETON MAFIA!

These skeletons are not your average Halloween decorations. They’re armed with rapid-fire tommy guns and a grudge against anyone who trespasses on their turf. They’ll shoot at both teams indiscriminately, so you’ll have to dodge bullets while you push or stop the cart. And don’t think you can hide from them — these bony bastards will sniff you out like bloodhounds! You’ll have to use your brains, your brawn, and your bonce to survive this onslaught of ossified outlaws!



So grab your costumes, your candy, and your courage, and join us in Spineyard, the most terrifying vineyard in the world! Just to be clear: You will scream your lungs out. Also, the doctor just called: He wanted us to tell you that the x-ray you took last week shows that you have a skeleton inside you! GET OUT OF THE BODY! But it was too late. The End. Of that scary Halloween classic! But the story of your adventures in Spineyard is just beginning!

@[LuNo] KimFareseed @THG it's a bug. Never quite figured out why it happens, but I guess it fits the theme of it being the mafia so it isn't all bad.

The only thing that suprises me with this map, is that randomly MvM money gets droped. Though, not able to tell if it is from players killed by skeletons, or if skeletons just drop money instead of spellbooks sometimes.

Awesome map with a cool and original gimmick (usually its really not that impactful though, sometimes you barely even notice the skeletons) ang gorgeous design and visuals. Really like this one, glad it got in the game! Don't let the haters get to you:amal:

This is not a half bad map at all, I'm sad to see so many people hating on it without providing solid feedback ("wrong art style" and "OW map, it's shit" comments waste everybody's time, ffs). That being said, I do think this map has an issue with how quickly players can push forwards, there's often only one or two spots where the defenders can actually hunker down in time; this is because there's often too much or too little space in certain areas. Here's a relatively hastily done set of ideas; I know you'll probably ignore all of them because it's already in the game, but I don't care hahaha. If you don't trust the link just add me and I can share them via steam messenger, and my apologies if it's kinda hard to read! I threw it together in something like 20mins, hahaha

gotta say you're the only person that argued why they thought it was the worse though
everyone else just type "worst map ever" and that's it! what's the point of leaving hate if you ain't gonna tell them why? maybe because it's your fault cuz you're bad?
or maybe it's something they can fix? who knows!

and how does that matter to the map makers? lmao, they don't choose what map gets added
and being locked to always fit TF2's theme is rather obnoxious yknow, you could end up making copypaste maps like ICS that are 100% in the style, but are SOOOOO BORING aesthetically
also the makers made some of the best maps for the game yet Valve decided to add VENICE over them, blame em

Genuinely one of the worst maps ever added to the game. Thematically incoherent, bad routing and map flow, does not fit TF2 aesthetic or style, and the skeleton quirk is totally obnoxious. Literally an Overwatch map masquerading as a TF2 map. Congrats on getting in, but also really wish you hadn't.
