"Day Off! 5 AM!" My phone's alarm blasted on maximum volume. I wake up early in the mornings to get ready for the day to come. I prefer mornings; helps me get things done and I personally feel 10x better throughout the day. I haven't slept in for ages, especially as I hit my 20's.

It was a normal looking day, apart from the cloudiness covering the star of our galaxy. However, I felt weird that day. The hair on the back of my neck stood up as if a giant spider was crawling on me. Casually, I ignored it, thinking its all in my head or maybe its just those type of days. Shortly after, I went to the kitchen to make a cold green tea, with freshly squeezed lemons and just a pinch of passion fruit juice; God, what I'd do to get some right now. Some sips later, I got to work. Well, not actual work. I create videos for YouTube so I started recording and playing VR. It's a virtual reality type of thing; not important at the time of writing this.

Time passes and passes as the day goes on. Flying through hours of daylight till the orange Popsicle sunset shines through my windows. I didn't leave my home that day. Not because I was lazy or anything, but I was simply too occupied editing most of the time and I was hooked on YouTube videos. Been watching this guy make food in the wilderness. Very entertaining actually. "BOOM". I heard an explosion and it hit me like a freight train hitting a vehicle on its tracks. I leaped up from my seat and seen fire right outside my room with big cloudy smoke spewing from the main road. People screaming and shouting. I couldn't comprehend what was happening and put off my editing for a moment. "There is no way of that being a car. Must be a semi-tanker flipping over maybe" I mumbled.

I later sat back down, assuming someone has already called EMS.
I was never too worried about things that I can't physically see or help with, and on top of that, there are plenty of citizens who noticed the crash. For sure they'd call someone to help. Until I started hearing screeching coming from my hallway, right outside my room. I was petrified. "What in the world is going on out there?!" I thought to myself. "Was the accident that serious?". I decided to pickup some shoes, and head downstairs. I took the stairs down since it was quicker than that damn elevator, and I also didn't want to pass by a certain room down the hall. Every time I pass by it, it smells very strange and volatile, like if something died inside the room for months. There are rumours that it's not actually a regular room, but more of an experimental bio hazard area. Of course, that seems far off but they do have contamination signs placed in front of the door, which I assumed was just a decorative piece.

As I got outside, my heart sank and I started over ventilating. Guns going off, explosions, and people running from each other. "Oh my goodness, are we at war? Is this an atta..." then I saw the most unforgettable moment of my life... The first time seeing a human rip apart another human with just their bare hands! Well, at least I assumed it was human. As I took a closer look, the person looked bloody, rotten, and made sounds only the Gods can define. I froze like an ice cube. "Wha...what is this? W...whats happening here? Why are you people attacking each other!!" I shouted loud enough to burst my lungs out. Then "IT" looked at me.

It took me out of my frozen stance and I ran straight to the main lobby, hoping to take the elevator back or find some help. The person chased me and ran faster than I anticipated. Luckily, I ran up to the main lobby door and it was unlocked without needing keys. I immediately entered through and shut it right on the persons face. As I turned around to continue on, an ATLAS soldier was in the main lobby. ATLAS controlled a certain part of my country and are Private Military Contractors. I believe they are good people considering how many countless times they've saved us from multiple world wide threats. Once he seen me, he headed towards me and handed me a P320 Handgun and violently stated "Here, protect yourself and go back to your room! The infected are not stopping and are multiplying as we speak. I have to go rescue my team in the VTOL."

"But... What's goin..." He stopped me from asking and immediately shouted "GO AND DON'T LOOK BACK! THERE'S NO TIME!". I watched him run out there, just to get mauled 20 seconds after stepping onto the asphalt. I have firearms training and knowledge but I was terrified. I had an AR15 upstairs. If I can get to it, I can make my way out of this place and find help.

That was the plan I came up with on the spot. So I chamber checked my firearm, checked the magazine, and got ready to head back up.



Press F Twice for Flashlights (UV is after regular white light)

Press and Hold F to Inspect Firearm

PRESS 4 or Your Default Underbarrel Key Bind For Weapon Functions
(EXAMPLE: Ripper can turn into an AR and an SMG by pressing 4 along with many others)

Be patient with the "F" Binds because sometimes you may accidentally inspect your firearm while rebuilding barriers/building the power and it will not allow you to shoot till the animation is over.
