"Modifies bandwidth by changing the base value imparted by the mechlink, so no idea how it will interact with other mods that might affect bandwidth."
- Your description.
"So they've changed how much bandwidth you get from just having a mechlink? Why? I like my mechlinks as they are. 6 feels like a reasonable amount. This seems like a stinky nerf to force the player to get the sublinks."
- My brain.
6 + 12 + 18 = 36 bandwidth from 9 sublinks. +2 bandwidth per sublink past that.
The image shows 55 max bandwidth from 14 sublinks.
14 - 9 = 5
55 - 36 = 16
5 x 2 = 10
16 - 10 = 6.
6 is the base amount of bandwidth a mechlink gives in basegame. The base value of bandwidth imparted by the mechlink hasn't been changed... or I suck at maths.... so I still don't know what "base value imparted by the mechlink" is.
By how much? The base amount from a mechlink is 6.
