Description
Converts the existing Seed processing spot in Seeds Please: Lite.

Intended for use with OwlChemist's Seeds Please; Lite when using a zero tech start, and specifically use with the Primitive Research mod as this locks the stove behind a technology.

Humans have been processing seeds well before the concept of a "kitchen" was a thing, so it struck me as kinda weird that the Seeds Please: Lite mod required a functioning stove in order to process seeds. Now it doesn't. Just like your primitive ancestors, you too can thresh like a wildman on aa patch of dirt swrpt clean by nothing more than kicking the larger debris away, and stamping it down with your feet.

Congrats

Well yeah). Idk about other mods you use, but every one I have installed uses UpperCase for first letter (not only for Common folder, but also others like Patches, Defs, Textures, languages), so may I ask you to reupload/update mod with capitalized C letter when/if you have will/time for this? Considering amount of subscribers and small fraction of linux gamers at all (around 1%) it is possible that I am the only person ever to have this issue, and already corrected it for myself, so... it may not even worth the effort :).
Also I'm sorry if I sound (or did sound) kinda rude, it's not my first language and I tend to be overly straightforward or overly polite.

I use a windows laptop,so iunno about the requirements of linux, but the "common" folders are in lower case, like most other authors use. Iunno if your issue was down to using linux or not, but at least you got it working now ^^

Okay, I got it. In linux capitalization matters, so there is difference between "common" and "Common", as it (I guess from tutorials on Rimworld Wiki) should be and every other mod I have installed does.

Huh, cleared config and even went further, cleared whole "Rimworld by Ludeon Studios" folder to be sure, then after adding only specified things (again, Harmony+Core+Processing Spot+SeedsPleaseLite) same red error in log. It is visible only if devmode is on (sorry I didn't mention), but functionality still isn't there (can't place processing spot outside of stove).
Game version 1.4.3901 64-bit. It's linux version, so maybe that matters for some strange reason.

@Aequus - there is no such issue with 1.4, so iunno why you were getting this error report. When reading the mod information, the game pretty much ignores the "common" folder, so removing that would make zero difference.

I am unable to reproduce your error even with just those four mod loaded. My guess would be you had some other mod that was causing a conflict, and loaded them in a different order after testing. Failing that, I would suggest clearing your config folder, and letting it repopulate in case you have some errors therein.

Hello. For 1.4 version current folder structure results in "Mod [WYD] Processing Spot did not load any content" error message, and ability to place processing spots is not available, tested on Harmony+Core+Processing Spot+SeedsPleaseLite.
Rearranging it from
├── About
└── common
..├── Patches
..└── Textures
....└── Things
....└── Building
to
├── About
├── Patches
└── Textures
..└── Things
....└── Building
solves the problem. Idk about 1.5 though.

Please note, if you have a wall of screaming red errors, please either ignore them (not recommended) or disable all your mods, and repopulate them to remove any issues caused by the name changes in the 7th April 2024 update

Not with this version, since it works within the existing code. I did not wish to replace OwlChemist's Seed Processing Spot entirely, just remove the qualifier that it must be used on a stove and change it into a Spot in line with the exiting vanilla versions. In theory it could be done though - similar to I did in Primitive Research for the Research Spot .

Saying that, it would probably be better if bench version (the mod you linked) was the one to add an advanced version, and upgrade it with additional speed, and comfort factors of something given it's an actual bench.

Would it not be possible then to have both your and the current processing seed of seed please for feel of progression? Would give a kind of progression for people who like to play through the Ages Primitive spot -> seed please spot

@khisanth - Yes, I was aware, but as that mod changes the Seeds Processing Spot into a physical workbench, it does not fit in the theme of a tribal start (or suit a zero tech start) especially when playing with Primitive Research and like-minded mods.

Processing Spot creates a basic spot similar to the vanilla Butcher Spot and Crafting Spot and (other tribal/zero tech mod spots) so that it meshes well. It alos provides the opportunity to relocate other processing options once I get that working.
