[ICS] - Kodatchi Class Frigate

ICS presents its newest addition to the fleet, the Kodatchi class frigate!



The production of the Kodatchi was the longest project yet, similarly to the Jericho it was left as a prototype in a far off dockyard before being worked on again. The first prototype of the Kodatchi had similar features to the current version, it could fly in atmosphere but wasn't very good in that regard and its static weaponry was two artillery cannons where the current railgun is housed. However the first iteration did not utilise a jump drive, it was due to this inefficiency that it was left to decay for a year until the project was brought up again and perfected.
The Kodatchi's first assignment before its third and final design was not what designers had in mind however. It was to defend a high strategic outpost from a hostile attack against a larger vessel, while it was aided by a larger vessel for most of the fight there were several minutes when it had to take the burden of the fight on its own and proved to be a match for the hostile vessel. This would also result in a victory with minimal damages sustained to the Kodatchi and helped solidify the design for current production and deployment.

Was inspired by a ship created by Hashimori Kaminoji who has now retired from SE.

Connectors can easily be added to the sides of the thrust pack for horizontal docking.
