U.S.N. The War in the Pacific 1941-43

SPI 1969 - 1982

Description
USN deals with the air, land and sea warfare in the Pacific between 1941 and 1943. Each hex represents over 200 miles. Each turn represents a week's operations. Land unit counters represent divisions or regiments. Air units represent multiples of 10 planes. Virtually the entire Pacific is shown, from east of Hawaii to west of Java. Across this wide expanse, naval units (individual aircraft carriers, groups of everything else) fight in one of the most complex campaigns in history. The air, land and naval forces all operated under different conditions. There are five different Combat Results tables used to accomodate everything from torpedo attacks to bayonet charges. The CRT's represent abstract battle actions. There are three "campaign" games plus three shorter "mini" scenarios.

Game Equipment: one 22 x 28" map, 400 1/2" counters, rulesheet (folding "roadmap" variety), games charts & tables.

Most likely yes, I will chip away at them as time goes on :)

All problems solved! Thank you very much. I think all the other games I listed has the same back problems.

And there we go, for some reason the image of the counter back is no longer linked properly... Mine are all white as well but I don't get an error... the back of the counters should be yellow.

<sigh> now I will have to go through and relink all the backs lol... so much for making a new soldiers video today :)

Actually all Japanese counters' backs appear white (should probably be yellow right?) and all of them has the problem but the main error when loading belongs to Hiryu with http://cloud-3.steamusercontent.com/ugc/1843657805422890595/B24B7CEC4D2296A418308D95492F865D51F7445C/ error.

The back of the Hiryu is the same as the back of all the other Japanese counters as I copy and paste the first Japanese counter for all the rest of them so I don't have to keep linking the back of the counter image as they are all one sided. So its a mystery why only that counter's back is giving you a problem.

Thank you very much, I think its something to do with the backs of the Japanese counters. I am definitely sure that's the back of Hiryu counter, but the others share the same problem. They just appear white. I will try simpubs to make a couple of counters. No idea why this happens to me but not to others. It also happens on a couple of other games than yours.

No need to delete the comments :) Its all good, I'm not sure why you are having that problem however. The last link you sent me I get not found and have no idea what asset that is. As for the counters I take the counter sheet images from simpubs.org and then crop each counter into its own image with windows paint and save them as PNG files, then upload them to imgur and then import them into Tabletop Simulator, have done that since I ran out of room on the Steam Cloud.

Just for the record I realised I have the same problem with Anzio Beach Head, AH Tobruk, Breakout & Pursuit, Desert War, El Alamein, KampfPanzer, Nato Operational C., PanzerArmee Africa, Spi Seelöwe, Spis Normandy, Sinai, Soldiers, Solomons Campaign, The American Civil War, The Ardennes offensive but not the others. In all those games one or more counters have one side ok but when I flip them they give an error. Sometimes they come locked.
A web search resulted:
1. Changing images from CMYK color palette to RGB when hosting resolves the problem one said.
2. One other user wrote "This issue is pretty much at fault with how Steam handles cloud files. They do a very poor job when you are logging into multiple Steam accounts and they end up overwriting the other accounts. " I am not logging into multiple steam accounts though.
Sorry for taking your time, just wanted to share this and if you can offer any ideas, I would be very happy.
Ps. I will delete these comments not to crowd here.

Nothing I have done solved the problem. From my browser I can not reach http://cloud-3.steamusercontent.com/ugc/1843657805422890595/B24B7CEC4D2296A418308D95492F865D51F7445C/ whatever I do. Well moving on :)
