Description
This large map of Western Europe, North Africa and the Middle East has accurate geography and resource placement. Cities will be named automatically based their location and the founding Civilization.

Requirements
* Brave New World and Gods & Kings
* Denmark DLC
* Kieven Rus' (Brave New World) by Tomatekh

Required and recommended mods are available in the above-linked collection, "Accurate Maps".
Map based on Hormigas "Play Europe".

How to Load Scenario
Choose the 'Accurate Europe' map in the setup screen, then tick the Load Scenario check box.

Special Scenario Rules
* Cannot found cities on Marsh, Snow or Desert tiles
* Cannot build Trading Posts or Farms on Desert tiles
* Grass Hills: +1 Food, -1 Production
* Castles and Walls: +1 Production
* Up to 9 Religions may be founded
* Pantheons cost less faith to adopt
* Adds a new religious building, the Stave Church
* Scouts and Caravels can enter rival territory
* Barbarians disabled
* Non-European World Wonders are disabled. You might consider adding modded Wonders (see "Accurate Maps" Collection linked above for recommendations).

For Modders
If you want to add dynamic city naming to your WorldBuilder scenario, you will find all the files you need in this mods' City Names folder.

I have dabbled with Civ V mods before now. Usually I set my expectations way too high.
This mod, the Kiev mod and Reforestation are exceptional.
They work, there are many more things to discover - including new ways to play the Civs.
I respect anyone writing mods like these, without a doubt. The issue with the "fog" being absent in the Kievan Rus' playthrough would seem to be due to trying to integrate every line in three relatively detailed bits of code.

How to change min city distance? The mod code file named "AE_GameRules" in the file "Game Rules" has the following line below

--UPDATE Defines SET Value = 2 WHERE Name = 'MIN_CITY_RANGE';

But the min city range is 4 tiles while in game.
How can I decrease the minimum city tile distances?

It would be hard to be accurate religions, since then alot of civs will have to have the same religion..

This is an amazing map, thanks! The capital city is pre-founded, cities are named according to where they are founded (realistic location) and by who they are owned. Gdansk for example becomes Danzig when it is conquered by Germany. Wonders, city states, terrain features and resources are realistically placed and the map is nicely playable. Downside is that it requires the Kievan Rus mod, so it's not possible to load the map, save it, remove the mod and reload it to earn achievements. Definitely recommended to play either way!
