Ever wondered why Billy, despite having the shooting skill of a toddler tossing their broccoli, is still able to target pawns from 26 cells away with a pistol?
This mod fixes that by having your max range be determined by your consciousness, sight, and shooting skill!

So theoretically if you have higher consciousness, sight, and max shooting skill, you could have a larger weapon range? Also I should see if this works with Endless Growth :D

incompatible with https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2155485488 , disables ability to draft pawns when weapons from this mods are used tho it might be issue with the linked mod itself

I first saw it with Vow of Non-Violence from Alpha Memes but I'm pretty sure it also happens with non violent pawns from vanilla backstories.
