Rados Solar Farm

Aloha everyone!

My name is Teakeycee. (pronounced "Tiki See") I am a blueprint converter and a builder, for Empyrion Galactic Survival. Most of the time that I spend in the game is focused on building POI's and converting OPV's. You may have seen some of my POI's and converted OPV's in the game, currently in the Warlord and Zirax factions.

Lately, I have been enjoying a playthrough with my fellow content creator, Jhoosier, on the Broken Eden server. When we needed bases, I thought to myself, "Why don't I use some of the POI construction sets that I use every day, to make player bases?". So, here we are. I've done Twitch streams where I design the player base from scratch, then I test it in the game, make some adjustments, and then publish it on the Steam workshop.

This is the Rados Solar Farm, built using Vermillion's Rados Construction Set. It is made of mostly steel blocks, so the materials required are relatively minimal: a few salvaged POI's should be enough. It comes with a gravity generator, wireless coverage, 24 solar panels, two food processors, and four fridges. The grow plots are designed around one steel hydroponics unit, which can be expaned to nine, or you can use hydroponics bays. Above the main module is an office area that houses the gravity generator, and below the main module is where you can find the oxygen storage and the core. There are also some cargo containers on the dock to fill as you see fit. You could repurpose the interior rooms with constructors, furnaces, or deconstructors, or fill them with more fuel, oxygen, and solar capacitors. Turret placements are on the sides of the base. A hydroponics light signal is setup near the front door. Solar panel placement can be adjusted as needed, but make sure to spawn it so that the solar panels face the star. The closer you are to the star, the better.
