OSRV Mocio

Description
Clean Oceans!

This is an Oil Spill Response Vessel, and centers around the oil booms and separator to give you clean (and free!) oil. Operations were made to be hands-on, and requires use of the boom arms and mock oil booms. While the whole operation can be done as a lone operator, this is much more efficiently operated by 2 people. You can use one of the booms, or both booms simultaneously.

EDIT #1: Added more genset and separator power, and dials to the separator room and bridge to indicate if you have sea water or other fluids still fouling the collected oil. You can further process the collected oil by attaching a hose from the manually-operated valve (located at the base of the boom arms towards the bow) to the discharge winches and powering the pumps.

OPERATORS MANUAL:

NOTES: Ensure you tighten up the boom lines prior to departure! Operational speeds while the booms are deployed should be between 1-7 knots (1%-35% throttle).

Start the separator BEFORE the pumps; Shutdown the pumps BEFORE the separator

Boom deployment
1) detach the rope side of the oil boom, and set it for 1 meter; attach to the sunken anchor point(s).
2) detach the hose side of the oil boom, and reattach to the winch-end of the boom arm.
3) head down to the separator room, start the generator; flip the breaker, start the fans/pumps and hold the ignition until
the generator starts.
4) start the separator.
5) head to the deck, start the pump(s), and unlock the arms.
6) extend the arms, and retract the winches.

Boom Recovery
1) shut off the pumps THEN the separator/genset.
2) retract the boom arms and winches; while partially deployed detach the hose from the boom arm.
3) winch in the oil boom until you can grab a handle and lift it partially aboard.
4) Head to the rope and, and grab a handle and lift it partially aboard; detach the rope from the ship-anchor, and attach to the stowage winch.
5) retract the stowage winches until the oil booms are aboard.
6) lock the boom arm, and rotate them in until they lock.

Glad to hear that! That's exactly the feeling I wanted. Too many ships feel sterile or uninteractive, so I was striving for getting that hired-deckhand feel.

Nice. Love the interaction this ship provides. Gives the feeling of actually crewing a ship.

All noted errors fixed.

Also noticed that the Battery gauge on the bridge always reads 0 and the starboard side forward deck light near the storage display does not light.

it seems the different remote functions channels are mixed up side to side: for example the winch functions for the port side operate on the Stbd. side channel, and vice versa.

With the supplied remotes. A/D extend them.

Verry good OSRV but how do I extend the booms?
