No word, or document, of this briefing is to leave your persons, as per blackout parameters.

Katown has sent the authorisation for a highly secretive project to study the nature of the exotic matter that permeates the galaxy, hidden beneath the gravitic folds of black holes.

While there is evidence that it can be utilised to great effect, within the realms of the elder empires, and throughout traces of precursor civilisation, a more thorough study must be completed to analyse its true extent.

If it is found to be suitable for mass-scale application across the Imperium, it is paramount that we discover this use, there is no doubt this will grant us unrivalled power growth.

A blacksite has been marked out in Imperium territory, fringe region, zero through traffic - you and all your senior team are to report there immediately after the institute enters its dusk cycle.

The Katzen High Command has sent Douclaw himself to orchestrate the relocation, and secrecy, of this project. The Katzenarmee is already situated outside the institute - a cover story no doubt is currently public, but the true purpose is to ensure total information control.

Attempts to leave the institute prior to dusk cycle will be met with force.

The Kaiser will expect great things from this project, failure is unacceptable.

Playable Katzenartig - Ancient Caches is a submod of a submod of Gigastructural Constructs as well as Ancient Caches of Technology.

As the Katzen, you gain access to a plethora of the crises’ buildings, and I loved the ability to have them and remain true to the thematic of the Katzen - though this posed a problem, they were simply outclassed by buildings within Ancient Caches and Acquisition of Tech.

This mod seeks to alleviate that issue, by creating new variants of the associated buildings, adapted to the tiers within ACOT, allowing the Katzen flavour of planetary constructions to remain available for those that use it.

We didn’t stop quite there, though.

The unique weapons utilised by the Katzen, such as on the submarine and tank, would also eventually be outclassed by the ACOT equivalents - for the submarine specifically, this was particularly nasty, as its extreme range was not matched by the higher tier components.

That too, is alleviated by having equivalent components within the ACOT tier associated, allowing the special components to remain useful as you ascend through the enigmatic armoury.

Do note that this means that slots that already have ACOT tier components may not be given additions, such as those of the armour components.

As for the acquisition of the technologies, they are all unlocked by having the respective Katzen tech and ACOT/AOT reactor unlocked - eg: The Katzdeltan Megareactor requires the Katzen Megareactor tech and the Delta Reactor tech, some weapons like the Submarine Torpedo and Tank Cannon just require the ACOT/AOT reactor, as they are unlocked by default with the ship - the Lunar and Planet artilleries, by comparison, will require their techs, which you unlock when constructing the Kaiser Moon and Kaiser Planet respectively.

While this mod does add a reactor for Katzen ships, it doesn’t add one for celestial craft, for ACOT Tier Celestial Reactors, check out this already existing mod by someone else on the workshop: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2789654058

Won't be sure on the ability for the mod to keep working while AoT hasn't been updated yet (waiting for that to happen to update this one) so there might be issues, bit of a stay tuned kinda thing.

Thanks very much, it works a treat now! It was fun being able to use the weapons on ships they weren't made for when the ids were broken. But, I'm more glad that everything's back to working as intended. Thanks again.

Okay, yeah, that was on me again, whoopsies. There were some extra IDs that I missed so I changed them over - and while I was at it I updated the defense platform's point defense weapon to a medium slot so that it can be actually used again, hooray! Now it should be working.

Hey, thanks for reading my comment and putting out an update so fast. I hate to bring bad tidings, but it would seem that it did not fix the issue I was having. Now, I'm not entirely sure if the issue is still to do with your mod or if I'm having some other sort of conflict. I have tried playing with fewer and fewer mods in an attempt to troubleshoot, but even with bare minimum, it seems still to not allowing me to use the aforementioned ship components. I just though I'd put it out there, maybe to see if anyone else was having any similar issues?

Thanks for pointing that out, I probably wouldn't have noticed for a while - it was just some changes to the IDs in main PKI so just some quick find and replaces should have it solved, assuming I actually got everything that was in there.

Wanted to start by saying that I love this mod and appreciate the work you put into making it. Now, I really don't know for sure if this is an issue with this mod, but I think so. It would seem that the new update for the main play as the katzen mod, that reworked their ships, may have messed up their ability to take some of your new components. Specifically the power plants, propulsion, scanners, and combat computers. I just though I'd bring this potential issue to your attention. Thanks very much again.
