Description and Lore

The Banshee Class Destroyer was developed and built by Red Dragon Enterprises for the Winged Hussar mercenary faction in the Pioneer System, but it was primarily used by the Confederated Pioneer Republic. The only hull produced, named "Siege", fought in multiple battles during the Supremacy War with the Pioneer Military Alliance, achieving 3 kills but ultimately being destroyed in battle.

The Banshee was a solid design at the time of its creation. It was equipped with a standard destroyer armament, well armored, but slightly sluggish in maneuverability. It underwent numerous upgrades during its lifetime. By the time of its destruction, RDE considered it to be one of it's lesser designs.

Credit and Links

The Banshee was created for the Space Engineers Outlands series produced by GetBrocked on YouTube. The design uses the Outlands modpack. The mods I used to assist with the screenshots came recommended by Taidyr, who makes fantastic content as well.

If you want a quick color conversion, then I recommend this block recoloring mod, which will greatly simplify the process. Color Replacer Blocks - V2

Please feel free to modify the ship to fit your in game needs. Just be sure to give credit to the original creator.

Author's Notes
So, Banshee was originally a conversion from the Wendigo hull series. It's probably my most commonly used hull at this point. It has an interior so minimal I wouldn't even call it that, and it's horizontal, which may seem like heresy if you've looked at almost any other upload of mine. Trust me, I tried to figure out how I could do a vertical interior within the rules of Outlands, which, if you're unfamiliar, go check it out. And also it has rules that need to be followed for ships used in the series. Outlands is very PvP oriented, so having an interior wouldn't be a good long term survival strategy. This was one of my better initial designs, though I had to completely rebuild it to get it there. I think it really fits a general purpose destroyer role, in both looks and function. This is an older version, fairly early in it's design life. I think I got up to M13 (Mark 13) by the time it exploded. Bit of a bummer, that, but it happens. Actually of the 4 (ish) designs of mine built, 3 were destroyed in that war. Ouch. I guess I'm not that reliable of a builder :) . I hope you find this ship interesting and useful. Enjoy!
