The Devaro is a general transport commonly found in Artemis space ports, landing bays, and space at large.

Featuring a modest but practical interior and jump capability, the GEC series is a favorite for merchants and civilians alike.

Unlike most smaller long range craft, the GEC series are typically characterized as often being armed with a humble but effective offensive armament. While it does require a Class B-ACL, it often earns its keep on long hauls, lengthy exploration expeditions, and can prove invaluable when resisting pirate assaults.

The CAT class are not generally seen near large metropolitan centers on world but rather on the fringes of regulated zones, at space stations, and can be found zipping about throughout the system at large.

Equipped with a triple stage thrust system including hydrogen, atmospheric, and ion thrust; this vessel is more than capable of operating in almost any environment. Onboard large cargo container allows the Devaro to haul a profitable payload when used for merchants and prospectors alike. It is worth noting that most civilians that use it strictly for transport often substitute the container for an additional fuel tank.

Onboard weapons include 4 turrets of various types and 2 forward artillery cannons mounted under the bridge. Articulating landing gear allows the ship to reduce its profile for a smoother atmospheric flight and reduce drag upon reentry. Ground based ship access ladder provides an easy entry into the ship when docked or landed on a solid surface. Lower hangar access allows the Devaro to 'drop' a payload in the hangar bay or even a small craft docked inside for quick deploy.

Interior comfortably supports up to 3 long term but also able to support up to 8 for short term if necessary. It is recommended that extended flights do not exceed a 4 crew limit to prevent a drain on resources over long hauls in void.

This is an official product produced by [HDI]. All pilots are required to possess a Class B-ACL to operate. Failure to abide by this and relevant laws will result in suspension or revocation of all licences held by all onboard until appropriate measures are taken.


Note: This ship is heavily inspired by the 'Themis' produced by TRAV. I actually came across a trailer for SE from 4 years ago featuring a version of the ship sniped by Keen but couldn't find any info on the ship itself. Fortunately a friend of mine pointed me in the right direction. I had already began building the ship based on screenshots with some updated additions to remove subgrids and make it more survival friendly. I, in no way, claim to be the original creator of the overall design, simply that I was inspired by another to make this ship.
