Terrain Recovery

Description
The terrain is slowly recovering after being altered. The recovery is possible only where there are no obstacles nearby (buildings or debris). The recovery will not happen for terrain that is already altered in the original map. Terrain changed in saved games where the mod was not present will not be recovered neither. The terrain is slowly recovering after being altered. The recovery is possible only where there are no obstacles nearby (buildings or debris). The recovery will not happen for terrain that is already altered in the original map. Terrain changed in saved games where the mod was not present will not be recovered neither.
Depending on the degree of alteration, the terrain should fully recover in about 10 to 20 days. The time required is increased however if there are more areas to be recovered.

There could be visual artefacts at the border between recovering areas and areas that cannot be recovered (obstructed by obstacles).

Update 1.1:
Wild plants regrow after being cut (in about 6 to 10 days). Having more plants to regrow may take longer to trigger though. The same obstructing conditions are active as for those of the terrain recovery (no obstacles around).
Mod options added to disable specific recover modes, if someone wants to keep the plants cut or the soil unchanged.

Update 1.2:
Insect nests are included in the restoration process. For those nests, that already exists on the map when the game is started, the terrain is generated based on the surroundings. The generation requires a new game and will not be triggered for old saved games.

Pitty we can't do this on demand to flatten out a base area. So hard to find a good spot some times

I'm glad it was helpful :)

Morning, Thank you for this mod. I recently DL this mod and really like it. Does wonders to the landscape. Reclaim impact areas and restores the land damaged by insect nests.

I have one issue. Maybe not everyone has it. I run a cheat engine to put the game on 3x speed. with this mod, My FPS goes from 45 to 9 and goes back up to 45 Frequently, and lags horribly. I really like this mod but sadly it's unusable in my case.

The field plants are not meant to regrow. It's a bug in the mod. Will check it out, thanks for reporting it.

I know you can disable the plants recovering but I would like to have wild plants to regrow but not the ones I planted with a field... I disabled plant recover for now but if that's possible, it would be very cool

the only thing that annoys me is, when I make a field for - lets say - graincob... when I delete the field, the plants will regrow in the exact space where the field was... is there a way to fix this?

BUT generally: this mod should be a vanilla game feature! nice work <3

Hey, there is a mod option to disable plant regrow. But maybe placing a few traps there would be enough.

I love this mod. My only gripe is that when I cut down a bunch of vegetation to improve my sight lines for battle it keeps growing back. I'm trying to decide what I can do about this. Maybe put a piece of random fence here and there to discourage it. Still... love it.
