JRM - 1 "Hawaii Mars"

Description
Martin Mars JRM-1 “Hawaii Mars”

THIS VEHICLE SPAWNS THAT THE SAWYER ISLAND’S “NORTH HARBOR”

Start Up
To start the plane’s engine you must first, 1. Head to the flight deck of the aircraft. (Located on the 2end level, accessible by a ladder). 2. Go to the engineering panel and turn on the ‘Battery Master’ switch and the panel’s Instrument lights (optional). 3. Turn on ‘Engine 1 Magneto’ and ‘Engine 1 Fuel Valve’. After both are on, hold the ‘Engine 1 Starter’ and watch the engine’s RPS until it reaches above 3 RPS. If the engine fails to start, shut off the ‘Engine 1 Magneto’ and ‘Engine 1 Fuel Valve’ switches and wait 30 seconds before another starting attempt. 4. After the engine has started and is idling, you can turn on the engine’s generator.
Repeat this start up for engines 2, 3, and 4.

Fuel
This aircraft is fitted with 3 fuel tanks, the left and right tanks and a center tank. The left and right tanks are used first by the engines. The center tank will not be used until pumped into the left and right tanks. There are no automatic pumps for the fuel to feed from the center tank into the left and right tanks. An indicator will light up if any of the tanks are low.

Take-off and Flight
After the engines are started and all the generators are on, you can head to the pilot’s seat and turn on the radio, necessary navigation lights, and Instrument lights (optional). The engine’s throttle displays the throttle settings as in, 30-50% taxi, 80% cruise, and 100% for take-off. You can turn the plane using the left and right arrow keys on the water or in flight. Move the throttle lever to 100% for take-off. Let the engines accelerate to full then hold the ‘S’ key to lift yourself in the air. The plane will stabilize the roll, yaw, and pitch commands you give it to make flying easier. You can use the altitude hold or heading hold to help fly longer distances, without having to control the aircraft. After you have reached your desired altitude, and can lower the throttle lever to its cruise speed (80%).

Water Bombing
This Martin Mars aircraft is equipped with water bombing capabilities. When approaching a target, make sure the plane is at its 80% cruise throttle. Hold the spacebar key to dump the fire retardant. The water tank’s level is displayed on a gauge in the flight deck, in front of the pilot. If the water goes below 10%, the ‘Low Water Level’ indicator will turn on. When this happened, you can land in any body of water and turn on the ‘Water Tank Refill’ switch and the pumps will refill the tank.

Notes
1) The plane “can” fly on just 1 engine, but with very limited maneuverability.
2) I would recommend turning on the bilge pumps whenever you are in the water, just to limit the amount of water that may come in.
