built after the incident of 3225, where AGS was caught off guard by the Alarian advance on there territory, the Cutlass class destroyer began production as some of the first purpose built warships of AGS, being a powerful ship for its small size as it fields few turrets, but has FOUR anti ship guided/ direct fire missile launchers, powerful fixed weapons that have the potential to rip a ship twice the Cutlass's size in half.

The DD-0034, known as the Hound, is the 34th ship of its class, being assigned to patrolling the space around the CRN/AGS border, commonly chaseing down pirates and renegades, earning its nickname, "hunting hound"
