Description
This mod allows Faction Heroes who are marked in the Character Pool as VIP to show up as Engineers and Scientists.

Factions Supported
  • Templar
  • Reapers
  • Skirmishers
  • Proxians


Faction VIPs in the example images: Alice Rose (Templar); Rusty Dios & Mayso Kalopei (Skirmishers); Shirley Lyons, Erin Jenkins & Danielle Figoro (Reapers).

Support for modded faction soldier types, such as Proxians, is not currently enabled but is an aim for a future update.

Requirements
All Armour Avenger - so the VIPs (and soldiers also) will keep their full cosmetics.

Ah, I see! So the vanilla WOTC game completely ignores "Can Be VIP" for all things, without this mod, when the character is a faction class. Makes this mod even better, if it's more than an upgrade for "All Armour Avenger" and impacts more than the ant-farm view.

It refers to 'when a VIP is generated, it can be one of the faction soldiers from your character pool if they have "can be vip" checked'

Does this refer to "they show up in character pool uniform if selected as VIP during a mission" or does this refer to "if they're a VIP on the Avenger, they'll show up in character pool uniform"?

If you meant a Faction hero you have in a campaign's barracks but not in the character pool, no they won't spawn as they don't exist in the pool to be pulled from.

@scrungus Engineer/Scientist pulls from character pool characters set with the VIP tag. If they have both soldier & vip and have already spawned as a soldier, no they will not spawn as a vip as they will count as already being spawned into the XcomHQ.

will these characters also appear if theyre in the barracks, or only through the character pool? really cool either way

@dg_zanas I've just updated the requirements to require All Armour Avenger which is what makes them keep their cosmetics.

Do they keep their cosmetics or they go back to the default Scientist/Engineer ones?
