NOTE: I wasn't able to fix the UI error that pops up off spawn. You can skip it safely. Sorry about that!

Placed - 19th

With the mapping challenge coming to a close, I am now considering this the “Alpha” build of this map. I would like to take the time i need to get this project right and make it the map i wanted it to be. More updates on the new version coming in the future

Welcome to WhosEsper's NoahJ456 Community Mapping Challenge Entry. We were challenged to make a map in one month with only one rule, it had to be themed on a movie.



My Entry: ODYSSEY

Based off of Interstellar & 2001: A Space Odyssey, this map takes place in the scene with the ship right by the supermassive black hole, Gargantua
Fight your way through the ship, gear up with various perks & wonder weapons, and maybe you'll discover a secret or two trying to escape this hell...

There was many features that had to be cut due to time restraints, including the main easter egg quest. I did put together some smaller quests to give you guys something to find to give the map something, so let me know if you find those!

+Vlekkeloos it was planned, but I ended up losing all of the files for all these maps so I cannot update them any further. I may sorta "reimagine" Odyssey thought but not sure

very interesting map. the only thing i dont like is find power parts. Thanks for your stuff.

went down with a golden pp-sh and when I got revived all of my points and guns were gone. Like the game just took it away. :(

Gold PPSH was a nice touch as well.

Nice map with good aesthetics and decent use of the black hole visuals and assets from Moon. The only thing holding it back in my opinion is the parts for the setup.

As a rule, you should never have more than three possible locations for parts to look for, even in a small map like this. I've already found at least SIX possible spots for the cable and FOUR for the handle. You really should cut it down to just 1-3 possible spawn locations, even if its meant to take up a bulk of the main easter egg. The free perk easter egg was a nice bit of discovery though, I liked that. Definitely a solid map, just needed some small improvements. Spawning the players where they need to scramble for the PES is also a bit of a flaw too.

this map looks fun but i will wait for things to be fixed top it off building to make the power on is hella dumb its one thing in zombies i always thought was just a big f u to the face in black ops 2 and ive been playing zombies since day 1
