Description
Overview
Makes Smoke Grenades, Ultrasonic Lure, Mimic Beacon and other similar support items from mods not break concealment when used.

Configuration
<Steam>\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\2994011957\Config\XComZelfConcealedItemUse.ini

Add more items and abilities to stay concealed with. Can be used to make any ability concealment retaining, not just items.

Some additional items and abilities are commented out in the config should you want to enable them. Most notably you can make proximity mines exploding not break concealment akin to Reaper Claymore.

Compatibility
Safe to add or remove at any time. Only modifies concealment breaking rules of item and ability templates and will not affect save games.

Other mods may also change these concealment values or add/remove the concealment breaking effects so it depends on load order which change will end up being applied.

One such mod is obviously Proximity Mine PG Project but will work fine together if you want the other changes in that mod.

Thank you RustyDios for the original idea of concealment retaining proximity mines.

Notes
Objectives breaking concealment won't be circumvented with this mod as that would be a different balance change entirely.

Throwing a Mimic Beacon or other unit spawning item in the detection range of an enemy will still break squad concealment as expected. Phantom/Shadow will let the thrower stay concealed, though.

Any improvement suggestions welcome.

@Zelfana i get that this does not change Shadow but LWOTC does what point do you not get that for real what point do you not get that LWOTC it self reworked Shadow works long War of the chosen changes concealment mechanics as a whole hhhh

Everything will work just like it should, don't worry about it. This mod will not change how the reworked Shadow works, it will just let these few abilities and items not break the concealment when used no matter what kind of concealment it is.

Anyway, just try it out yourself. There is no harm in doing that.

you say that but i been playing LWOTC a bit and you know the feature that the reaper has when it fire it as a percentile roll to be revealed that roll is all way 100% if you just you LWOTC like i said LWOTC changes the concealment mechanics so odd are this will not work with LWOTC at all

The values this mod changes are still used the same way in LWOTC, it doesn't overhaul the underlying base systems of the game. You will be able to keep whatever permanent or temporary concealment your soldier has when using the configured abilities/items.

I guess, probably. As I don't play with LWOTC I can't say for sure but I would expect this to be perfectly fine with it.
