Description
    DESCRIPTION
  • This version of the Cessna 172SP it is modified to adapt to the climatic conditions of the arctic therefore it is equipped with skis mounted under retractable wheels to land on large blocks of ice or snow. It does its job very well also on stormworks, as it is easy to drive and with high autonomy and capacity, in all weather conditions also increasing its effectiveness during its use, ensuring a landing in conditions where it would not normally land.

  • The Cessna 172 is a small four-seat aircraft that was first produced in 1956. It was designed to be easy to fly and very reliable. Many pilots use it for training, but it's also a great choice for short-haul travel. It has a piston engine which allows it to fly at a maximum speed of around 120 knots. In addition, the Cessna 172 features a large cockpit and good visibility, making it very comfortable to drive.

VOR NAVIGATION
  • VOR navigation is based on ground radio stations which, being nav aids, guide the pilot thanks to special frequencies which transmit the heading towards which the station is located.

  • Thanks to this we can make Landings in any weather condition by aligning ourselves with the course of the VOR which must be the same as the HEADING of the runway and following a precise Glide path to find ourselves descending towards the runway and see the lights just before touch with the wheels.

  • This is the procedure I recommend for the descent path
-Arrive 3000FT and 10NM from the VOR
    -Consistently drop to 750FPM

  • This is possible given by the SIR MURTAK addon, which has for each island that is a point of interest a VOR station for civil aircraft or TACAN for military aircraft.

  • Here is the Addon! TACAN-VOR ADDON

NOTES
  • It is strictly Recommended to use high physics because of the skis

  • If you want to use the VOR system you have to use the addon above at the same time.

  • It may be difficult to reach the hood given the increased scale of the vehicle.

  • If possible, avoid leaving the battery alone too long without having started the engine, this leads to a discharge of the battery.

Make sure the wheels are down and the physics are up, then release the brakes and apply power then turn left/right.

They are very similar and there is no physical space for the retractable landing gear unfortunately, but I'm working on something far more special!
