Gameplay
SPD Monitor is installed at the desired point in space in manual, remote or automatic mode using the autopilot. After that, on the digital panel of the cockpit or Remote Control block, you need to press the #9 key. SPD Monitor will remember the coordinates of the defense point and will attack any enemy ship within a radius of 2500 m from it. To return control, press #9 again.

For defense, the capabilities of the AI Offensive module are used, which allows you to turn to the enemy along the front and use course weapons in battle. AI Offensive is configured for circular combat tactics at the maximum distance from the target. SPD Monitor automatically returns to its place at the end of the battle, moving more than 2 km from the defended position, or upon entering the planet's gravity.

All of SPD Monitor's weapons are set to destroy power systems. This allows you not to attack the wreckage of the enemy ships and works well against the ships and drones of the small grid.

All Monitor AI blocks and communications antenna are protected by welders for automatic recovery when damaged or destroyed, unless the ship's projector is destroyed. In survival mode, you will need repair components or ingots to craft them locally.

The visual status system includes two beacons named SPD Refill and SPD Alert. If the supply of hydrogen in the tanks is less than 10%, then the first beacon is turned on, if the antenna is destroyed or the total amount of damage is more than 10%, the second beacon is turned on. Both beacons are set to blink to get your attention.

You can change any of the AI block settings as you wish. You can also change the settings of the variables in the EasyPlay program block (CustomData field), which are responsible for the remaining hydrogen and the allowable percentage of damage.

Tips and known issues
The main problems are related to the implementation of the "Avoid Collision" mode of the AI Flight and Autopilot blocks. For ships that are heavy and unbalanced in terms of thrust, this mode does not guarantee collisions with other space objects during maneuvering, especially during combat. Therefore, you should not place the SPD Monitor close to a guarded base or in a cluster of asteroids.

You can use the SPD Monitor as an enemy to test your ships. To do this, simply insert it into your world at the desired point, sit in the cockpit, press #9 and change the owner of all blocks to Space Pirates in the Terminal. You will have a well-armed and maneuverable opponent that outperforms the vanilla pirates.
