[1.4] More Navy Illustrations

Description
More Navy Illustrations
Additional art for your flotillas

DEPRECATION NOTICE
MNI has been discontinued with the introduction of unique unit art for all unit types in 1.5.
A spinoff mod just for the battleship art can be found here.

Overview
More Navy Illustrations (MNI) adds extra art for all primary naval base PMs to minorly improve visual flavor. Vanilla Vic3 only has 3 images: Man o' Wars, ironclads, and battleships. The ironclad art would be used for the ironclad, monitor, and dreadnought PMs. The first two were passable, but this felt very weird for dreadnoughts. With MNI, all five of these PMs have their own unique art - some reused from vanilla, and some custom-made! Never look at your boring all-ironclads navy ever again, and bask in the glory of your mighty capital ships!

For users who play with Timber to Steel, this mod also has unique art for all six PMs added by TTS. This compatibility is built-in and handled automatically - no compatibility patches or submods are required!

Thumbnail Guide
First two rows compare vanilla versus MNI when using the Man O' War, Ironclad, Monitor, Dreadnought, and Battleship PMs.
Second two rows compare Timber to Steel versus MNI when using the Ships of the Line, Steam Ships of the Line, Ironclads, Pre-Dreadnoughts, Dreadnoughts, and Battleships PMs.

Mod Compatibility
As stated above, MNI has built-in compatibility with Timber to Steel.

-----

MNI may not be compatible with mods that add new naval unit types.

Specifically, MNI overwrites the definitions from the following file:
common/combat_unit_types/00_combat_units.txt
The file itself is not replaced, but the `combat_unit_flotilla` definition is overwritten.

All other mods should work.

For modders: Due to how the triggers were defined for the art in MNI to allow for seamless compatibility with TTS, a few errors will be thrown on game start related to invalid PMs. This is intended behavior and may be safely ignored. Apologies if this causes any inconveniences.

Loading Order
This mod works alone and may be placed anywhere.

For users of Timber to Steel, the placement of TTS relative to MNI does not matter.

DLC Requirements
This mod does not rely on any DLC features, so you should not need any DLCs.

Permissions

Yup; Timber to Steel's mod author is also drawing up unique art by themselves.

I'm probably going to make a new mod with the battleship picture specifically since I think it looks cooler than the vanilla one, considering how badass the dreadnought art is.

This mod won't be updated for 1.5, though; it no longer serves a purpose.

As of 1.5, this mod seem to no longer be necessary.

Every single type of ship now has its own unique art in the base game.

is it just me or does the navy make no sense in this game. should it be so you set each dock to a set ship, like early game Frigates or Ships of the line, late game be Destroyer, Cruiser, Battleship, Carrier, and Submarine

OK nice. I know CK3 changed it so player can get achievements with mods, which is nice.

I don't usually go for achievements, I love my mods first, just wondering about it in V3, thanks.

Nope, not a single one does. You could change everything about the game and it'd still let you go for achievements, lol

Ironman mode isn't a necessity, either; just load up the game how you like, leave achievements enabled (you can turn them off), and play.

The only thing that stops you from getting achievements is playing with debug mode enabled or switching countries in the middle of a campaign, I think

I just started playing Victoria 3, do mods disable achievements?

Could this be integrated in Age of Discovery 1444?
