CA&E Interurbans

Originally founded at the turn of the century, the Chicago Aurora and Elgin Railway was a high speed electric interurban stretching from the (at the time) rural towns of Elgin and Aurora all the way into downtown Chicago. Known colloquially as "The Great Third Rail" due to it's use of third rail electrification for most of it's route, the CA&E ran side by side with CTA "L" trains as well as fellow interurbans from the North Shore Line while they navigated the city's famous downtown elevated loop. Multiple examples of CA&E cars have been preserved, including the prototype for this mod, CA&E 36 at the Illinois Railway Museum.

As of 9/23/23, this mod pack also includes a car in the CA&E's later red and grey livery. A prototype of this car can be seen at the Fox River Trolley Museum in South Elgin, IL.

This mod features a removable headlight, which can be activated using Shift+1. The light itself can then be turned on using L. You can also raise and lower the rear trolley pole using L+1.
