Frogger
Have you ever felt that some factions look so bloody "bad" or "boring" compared to other factions?
There are some seriously cursed factions out there that seem like they have literally nothing unique or special to offer. Nothing that seems to make them distinguish themselves from the other factions within the same race.
This feels along the same line of my Bretonnian Legendary Lords Tweak Mod

Well, I have taken it upon myself yet again to spice up a faction who I feel looks so boring it's almost dramatic. And that is Hexoatl!

What does this Mod do?
  • Added three new effects to Hexoatl, to spice up his campaign and make him feel vaguely interesting.

Compatibility
I DON'T make my mods with SFO, Radious or other overhauls in mind!!
Savegame compatiable, no new save required.

Yes tomb kings need a DLC or two. They are so barebones and they need a spellcaster lord.

@Guvenoren I was commenting on the Tomb Kings discussion, I agree that Lizardmen have a lot of variety, especially in their roster and in the lords you mentioned.

I don't know, I feel that Lizardmen has a lot going for them. But maybe I need another play with them. Their roster is incredibly extensive and there's about a faction to specialize in any of them. I feel that in regards to WH2 there was no faction who got more love than lizards with so many playable lords and units.

Again, I might need to give them a try again. I know Hexoatl and Kroq-gar are a bit lackluster but Nakai and Oxyotl has a huge playstyle difference.

Oh definitely, that is why I had to put at least one of them there. The others have at least something going for them, as the effects can be useful, but in terms of fun, yeah they are just not attractive enough compared to other races and lords

As regarding Khalida, I feel all tomb kings suffer from the same lack of interest imo.

+1 on pyromaniacs take, their campaign in general seems really boring. Stat changes overall imo more often than not do not bring uniqueness to a faction, except when they enable a playstyle that was previously unachievable. I did not try it yet, but it certainly sounds like it will reach just that, which I absolutely love seeing <3

Other than that, if you are taking suggestions for other factions, I think that there are quite a few that fit the profile explained above: Changing some stats and making something stronger, but not as drastically or simply not the stats that truly change the feel of campaign. Some also just change the units you are should be recruiting, which does change the battle-feel of the faction, but campaign is left identical, which doesn't feel right imo.
Of the top of my head I can think of Khalida, Ungrim and Kholek, but I'm sure there are much more of them.

Actually the Lizardmen roster is one of my favorites in the game. They just need a little pizzazz on the campaign map... which you've gone a long way in helping with this mod, I love the Astromancy Stance and used it a lot in WH2 so this builds on that and makes it an integral mechanic to Hexoatl

When I say neglected, I only mean their faction mechanics. I love the LL's, the roster, all that, but some things like the Tech tree could use an update. Most importantly tho, is that Oxyotl has a really interesting campaign because of his mechanics alone while the others are barebones in comparison to WH3 factions and DLC Lords. Nekai's horde mechanics are also outdated, and the Geomantic Web has a lot of potential that is completely untapped. In WH2 they were awesome but it's not WH2 anymore ya'know? The Cult of Sotek is cool and really fun as a modded campaign, but all the lizardmen LL's should have their own unique mechanics too
