Federal Industrial - Rocket Propulsion

Description
The latest from Federal Industrial, Rocket Propulsion!
This mod adds a new thruster type for both small and large grid, the ESP Rocket Thruster!

These thrusters behave more like Solid rockets/ hybrid rocket motors having minimal running energy cost and no external fuel requirements. Instead these thrusters use Electric Propellant components used in the construction of the block itself as fuel. In use these thrusters "burn" these components as fuel slowly damaging the block over time relative to its thrust output. Burn time is about ~40 seconds at full thrust.

The Electric Propellant components can be made in both basic and full assemblers using silicon and magnesium.

This Mod includes scripts so it is not available on Xbox or Playstation

Thank you to Chipstix for the thruster models.

ah, i was looking for something like this for long time! I thought about making one myself, had i knew how to code it... or procrastinate less, i had almost exactly same idea. I would just simply use explosives as fuel component rather than making new one.

The script 'Thrust Limiter" seems like it would be a good pairing with these.

I Set It to turn on In A Timer block, Yet It Doesn't Turn on When The Timer Block Is Triggered And only Turns On When I Turn It On Myself. Please fix?

Hurrah for Solid Rocket Motors.

This seems perfect for missiles. About how long do they last at full power?

Great news, a new type of thruster, I like the use of silicon and magnesium for the propellant. Looking forward to seeing them go. Thanks for sharing your efforts and ideas. Cheers.

oh, these look like they could be fantastic for custom built missiles
