Bruh Look at Muh Armor

Description
Did you know that terminator armor is uber rare in the 41st millenium? They actually aren't. If they were, then a backwater chapter on the backwater planet of Gladius Prime wouldn't be able to field 200+ of those things in squads of 5! The only logical explanation is that they found a hidden cache of terminator armor in gladius by sheer random chance (or some Jokaeros got bored, made them for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles and threw them away after they got bored with it again) and they are lying around everywhere. Therefore, it's only logical that anyone that CAN put on termie armor SHOULD put termie armor- especially heroes! This mod aims to rectify that.

Changes:

As I love awesome and spehss mahrines (and their spikier counterparts), all heroes that can put on termie armor now puts on termie armor, getting that sweet, sweet 33% min invuln dmg reduction. Codex wise, that's SM Captain, Librarian and CSM Chaos lord.

Weapons; their weapons have been changed accordingly as well; as according to the codex, Captain and Librarian uses storm bolter instead of bolt pistol, and Chaos lord uses a combi bolter instead of plasma pistol. However, termies can't throw nades, ergo frag, krak and melta bomb abilities have been removed from these heroes.

Cost; of course, there is no such thing as a freebie in 40k, and the heroes have their costs modified to balance accordingly; The SM heroes mentioned have their base req cost increased by 40 (including librarian), and production cost increased by 6. CSM hero have their food cost increased by 40, and production cost is increased by 6 as well. This may seem like a small cost increase, but this cost balloons according to # of heroes on the field so initial impressions can be deceiving.

Other mentions: Librarian and Chaos Lord now has base armor of 10, in line with captain and chaplain. It makes sense lorewise, and tbh usage of these heroes aren't exactly widespread so I think this is fine. Plus, it'll actually encourage using librarian more aggressively, which is always fun. If you disagree with this change, well it's my mod, cope and seethe.

Also, no modelling skills, so models are unchanged for now. Might get time to learn how to model armor for these units in the future, but no set date.

In the future, I might add terminator armor for more squishy units in a separate mod, codex be damned (although that seems like too much heresy for even me to commit). We'll see.

Yeah, its weird. The cutscenes and victory screens dont match up (sometimes ultramarines, sometimes crimson fists, etc). This is compounded by the fact that captain i think sometimes says "guilleman awaits", so honestly i think its all skub and headcanon. But one thing for sure is that this chapter is hella cucked so it needs gladius prime as homeworld now.

Ah, well terminator armor is certainly not as common as before, but I could have sworn I saw the logo of the Ultramarines on the captain during the opening scene

And termie armor was definitely not rare in 30k, but after 10k years everyone became stupid so they became rare. In my headcanon, another possibility of why termie armor is everywhere is because a legion stocked them here for safekeeping during horus heresy (idk why, secrecy maybe?) And due to horus heresy being pretty chaotic (PUN intended) people forgot there were termie armors there... until this random chapter discovered it. Or maybe you can think of jokaeros making them for shits and giggles (due to their uber smart do whatever nature) or them "acquiring" or being "gifted" armor from other chapters (if your headcanon is this chapter is similar to the blud ravens)

If you play the campaign though, it basically talks about how your chapter can rebuild- that to me speaks that chapter on gladius is not the ultramarines (as ultramar sector is hella established). Plus, the victory screen, some art, etc. Show chapters like crimson fists. Now, from the captain model and me playing on default blue color makes me feel that this chapter is probably a successor chapter of the ultramarines, although you can have whatever headcanon you want as its never directly specified.

I also recall that Terminator Armor wasn't all that rare during the Horus Heresy

Technically speaking, I'm pretty sure that "Backwater Chapter" is actually the Ultramarines
