What is this mod?
This mod was born from the idea of my other 6 mods that will be released periodically this summer, to remaster various aspects of Rome 2 Total War that have not been touched or have been vaguely "modified".

This mod remasters all the graphic aspects of all the campaign maps from their lighting, shadows, effects, textures, water, reefs, cliffs, mountains, trees, animals, vegetation, weather and depth.

This mod has already been tested and all the campaigns and their DLC, and it works perfectly in the vast majority of large Mods as long as it is above that mod in its loading order, such as Para Bellum, Medieval or DEI, also the optional file was tested successfully on all these mods, if you get any errors, it must be due to some other compatible mod or similar. Obviously this mod cannot go together with other mods that modify the campaign maps.

All the captures that you see above were made using only this mod, they have not been edited with any program or any type of Reshade has been used.

This mod does not include the water that you see in the screenshots, these are from the Vianna mod.




What changes does this modification have?

  • New textures for all terrains.

  • New vegetation and animal and bird designs.

  • Increased the density of all forests in the game.

  • New models of mountains.

  • Newly designed cities and roads.

  • New lighting.

  • New Effects (Optional Catvrix file)

  • Volumetric lighting, and varied climates. (Optional Catvrix file)

  • New models added, such as birds of prey, rainbows. (Optional Catvrix file)

  • New heat effects, insects and animals (Optional Catvrix file)

  • New draw distances (Optional Catvrix file)

  • Smart light that adapts to your camera. (Optional Catvrix file)

  • Blood that stains the ground, this will last 300 seconds. (Optional Catvrix file)



Questions and answers

Is it compatible with other mods?
  • Yes, it has already been tested by several people for several months, it is compatible with any mod, but you must remove terrain mods since they do not work together. This mod should go at the top of your load order.
Does it affect the performance of my game?
  • I have a 5500xt 8gb card, and have had no issues with performance. If you have a superior card or similar you will be able to play without problems, but I can't guarantee anything for inferior cards.
Is it compatible with other languages?
  • In its entirety, the mod does not modify any text, so you can play it in the language you want.
Does this work, modify any statistics or gameplay?
  • No, all the changes are graphical, so you can be sure that the gameplay will not change, so you can combine it with the gameplay mod of your choice.
Can I use your mods in my mod?
  • Of course, it doesn't bother me at all. I grew up under the idea of ​​learning to share, you can use any file you want without problems, without losing my permission or giving me credit, this is a work for the community, not to become famous. To share is to live.



What does the name of the mod mean?

I am a Celtic pagan, so this series of 11 mods that will be released throughout the summer of 2022 are a tribute to all my gods. I respect the religious belief you have and I hope you can respect mine.

The names correspond to one of my fathers or mothers in their correct way of writing and given their pronunciation in Spanish, English and French. So if you are interested in knowing more, he left you linked a song referring to my god and you can search in Google.

Absolutely beautiful work, thank you very much. This game has badly needed a campaign map graphical upgrade/overhaul and you did it justice with this mod. Good work.

Can you fix the building disappearance with this mod, for instance aqueducts no longer appear in campaign map or building menu once mod is activated, but effects till there.

The idea about seasonal change is excellent, but I fear the saturation is too high, too colorful.

For all of you struggling to get the border lines in the map, just make sure to tick activate both "user scripts" and "release and movies" in the mod menu WITHIN the game, in the main menu, in the mods section in settings. That's all you need to do.

Unfortunately, this wonderful mod is not compatible with DEI. For some reason he cancels some buildings in cities, for example the Aqueduct in Rome.

Border lines cannot be seen on the campaign map (yes, mod is in first place and i have placed borders.pack in data folder)

Many people have other mods that modify the map but they think the problem is DEI, I prefer not to bother answering anymore. I know my mod works well with DEI and other mods, it's up to them.
